Maxonar TH32-2 USB4 Cable 2-Pack, 40Gbps, 240W, 8K, Braided Nylon

The 40Gbps data rate and support for up to 240W Power Delivery let the Maxonar TH32-2 handle fast file transfers, charging, and display connections through a USB-C to USB-C cable. This two-pack includes 3.3-foot braided nylon cables, giving you a practical way to connect a laptop with a compatible dock, monitor, or external SSD at a desk.

Each cable supports a single 8K display or dual 4K displays, with DisplayPort Alt Mode support for video. An E-Marker chip negotiates power automatically, while the braided jacket helps keep the cable organized for everyday setups.

What to know

These cables are designed for Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, and USB-C connections. Their 40Gbps transfer rate suits workflows involving large files and external SSDs, while 240W Power Delivery brings charging into the same cable setup. That combination can reduce the number of separate connections around a workstation, particularly when a compatible laptop connects to a dock that serves as the hub for storage and a display.

For video, the cables support one 8K display or two 4K displays through DisplayPort Alt Mode. The connected computer, dock, and display need to support the relevant video mode for that setup. They are also listed for use with devices such as SSDs, monitors, docking stations, eGPUs, MacBook, iPad Pro, Windows laptops, and select iPhone and Galaxy models, the port and capabilities of the specific device determine which functions are available.

Buyer feedback is mixed on compatibility and connection stability. Some customers report smooth use, while others describe disconnects or question Thunderbolt compatibility. The product is specified for Thunderbolt 4 and USB4, so matching the cable to the supported ports and functions of your setup is important.

Getting the most from it

Use one cable between a compatible computer and a dock or display to combine supported data, power, and video connections. For a simpler desk layout, place the dock near the computer and route the 3.3-foot cable between them. The two-pack also makes it easy to keep one cable at a desk and another with a travel setup, or to connect two devices in separate work areas.

The braided nylon exterior is suited to regular handling, and the round cable design fits common desk and equipment layouts. When connecting a display, confirm that the computer and display chain support the desired resolution and arrangement, the cable's stated options are a single 8K display or dual 4K displays. Its E-Marker chip handles automatic power negotiation with compatible equipment.

Best use cases

This set makes sense for a workspace that uses USB-C or Thunderbolt connections for more than one task. Pair a cable with an external SSD for large-file transfers, connect a compatible laptop to a dock, or use it for a supported high-resolution monitor setup. The 240W power rating is useful when charging is part of that same connection, while the two included cables help outfit both a home and an office desk without moving a single cable back and forth.

Compared with buying separate cables for data, charging, and display connections, this USB4 cable is intended to bring those functions together when the connected devices support them. A solid pick if you want two matching 3.3-foot cables for a compact dock-centered setup, with the flexibility to use the second cable at another station.

Buying verdict

The Maxonar TH32-2 is a practical fit for users building a USB-C or Thunderbolt workspace around fast transfers, high-wattage charging, and supported display output. Its clearest advantages are the combination of 40Gbps data, up to 240W Power Delivery, display support, and a two-cable pack. Choose it for compatible devices where a single cable can simplify everyday connections to a dock, SSD, or monitor.
