## Description

For podcast recording, vocal tracking, or mixing at a desk, the MAONO MH601 provides wired over-ear monitoring with 50mm drivers and a detachable cable. Its closed-back design helps keep listening focused during studio and home-recording sessions.

A 3.5mm connection serves compatible computers and mobile devices, while the included 6.35mm option connects to audio equipment with that jack size. Which setup are you monitoring from? The interchangeable connection makes it easier to use the headphones across different sources.

The earcups swivel 90 degrees for single-ear monitoring, a practical choice when recording vocals or checking a mix. The adjustable headband and padded ear cushions support a comfortable fit during listening sessions.

## Technical details
- Type: Wired, over-ear studio headphones
- Model: MH601
- Driver: 50mm dynamic driver
- Impedance: 32 ohms
- Frequency response: 20 Hz–20 kHz
- Sensitivity: 103 dB
- Connections: 3.5mm and 6.35mm
- Cable: Detachable, 9.8 ft coiled cable
- Microphone: None built in

## Practical tips
Use the 3.5mm connection with a compatible computer, tablet, phone, or other audio source. For mixers, interfaces, guitar amplifiers, keyboards, and other equipment with a 6.35mm jack, use the interchangeable 6.35mm connector. Newer iPhones without a headphone jack require a Lightning- or USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter for wired connection.

For vocal or instrument tracking, the 90-degree swiveling earcups let you monitor with one ear while keeping the other free. The detachable cable can also be removed for storage between sessions. These are passive, wired headphones: connect them to an audio source for listening, and pair them with a separate microphone when you need voice capture or communication.

Customer feedback often highlights clear sound and comfortable ear cushions. Experiences with fit, cable, construction, and noise isolation are mixed, and some buyers report durability issues. The padded over-ear design is intended to help reduce surrounding sound, making it useful for focused monitoring without treating it as active noise cancellation.

## What you get
The package includes one pair of MAONO MH601 headphones, a detachable 9.8 ft coiled cable with 3.5mm-to-6.35mm connections, an interchangeable 6.35mm audio jack, and an instruction manual.

## Before you decide
Does the MH601 have a built-in microphone? No. Use a separate microphone for podcast recording, streaming, or calls, the headphones are for listening and monitoring.

Can I connect it to a phone or computer? Yes, when the device has a compatible 3.5mm headphone connection. A newer iPhone without that jack needs a suitable Lightning- or USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter.

Can it be used for one-ear monitoring? Yes. The earcups swivel 90 degrees, so you can monitor with one ear while leaving the other uncovered.

## When it makes sense
The MH601 is well suited to creators who want a wired headset for recording, podcasting, DJ work, or everyday studio monitoring, especially when they use equipment with either 3.5mm or 6.35mm connections. Its interchangeable connection and swiveling earcups make it a versatile fit for moving between personal listening and hands-on audio work.
