## Description

A USB condenser microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern, the MAONO DGM20S is built for clear voice communication during gaming, streaming, calls, and content creation. Its boom arm positions the mic near your speaking area, while the included shock mount and removable pop filter help manage desk vibration and plosive sounds.

Connect it to a PC, Mac, laptop, PS4, or PS5 for gaming chats and recordings. Noise reduction, tap-to-mute, gain control, and headphone monitoring put everyday voice adjustments within easy reach.

## Getting the most from it

Position the microphone with its included adjustable boom arm, then use the gain knob to set your voice level. The cardioid pattern focuses pickup toward the speaker, making the DGM20S suitable for Discord sessions, online calls, and streaming where voice communication matters. One-click noise reduction can help reduce distracting room sounds, MAONO’s noise cancellation software offers more detailed adjustment on Windows.

The 3.5 mm headphone jack supports zero-latency monitoring, so you can listen to your voice while speaking. Tap-to-mute gives you a quick way to silence the mic, and controllable RGB lighting lets you choose a look for your setup or turn the lights off. Does a gaming mic need to be complicated to adjust? Here, key controls are directly accessible on the microphone.

## Why it’s worth it

The DGM20S combines voice-focused pickup with controls that are useful during live communication: adjust gain without navigating software, mute with a tap, and monitor through headphones. The boom arm helps place the microphone where you speak while keeping it mounted at the desk, and the shock mount and pop filter support a more controlled recording setup.

Compared with relying on a headset microphone, a desk-mounted mic offers a separate position and dedicated gain and monitoring controls. Buyers often praise the sound, noise reduction, and color-changing lighting. Feedback on the arm’s durability and connection experience is mixed, so careful positioning and a secure USB connection are sensible parts of setup.

## When it makes sense

Choose this format for a gaming station or home content setup where voice chat, streaming, and calls share the same microphone. The included mounting pieces make it practical to arrange the mic on a desk, while the mute and gain controls suit sessions where voice levels change or you need to silence the mic quickly. It connects by USB and is listed for PC, Mac, PS4, and PS5, it is not compatible with Xbox.

Worth considering if you want a desk microphone with RGB options, direct voice controls, headphone monitoring, and the accessories to position it for gaming or recording.
