## Description

A gaming setup can call for a full-size keyboard, or a simpler layout that leaves more room on the desk. The MageGee K1 pairs a 104-key keyboard with a wired mouse for a coordinated PC or laptop setup.

RGB backlighting, a number pad, and adjustable mouse speed make it suited to both everyday typing and gaming.

Need lighting that can be adjusted to your workspace? The keyboard offers several color and effect settings, with controls directly on the keyboard.

## Why it’s worth it

The K1’s full-size QWERTY layout includes function keys and a number pad, so familiar typing and number entry are part of the same setup. Floating, removable keycaps and an ergonomic arrangement of higher and lower keys support a comfortable hand position for work sessions or gameplay. Non-slip pads help keep the keyboard steady on the desk.

The RGB keyboard backlight has eight light colors, five modes, and adjustable brightness and speed, it can also be switched off. Double-shot keycaps let the backlight show through the lettering, helping make the keys easier to see in a dim room. Use Fn + K to cycle lighting effects, Fn + O/L for brightness, Fn + U/J for speed, and Fn + I to toggle the lights.

The included wired mouse has six selectable speed levels, from 600 to 3,200 DPI, to suit different cursor-control preferences. Its seven-color breathing light can be set to a preferred color using the side and middle buttons. Together, the keyboard and mouse provide a wired alternative to buying separate peripherals or choosing a wireless setup.

## Worth noting

The combo connects by USB and is designed for plug-and-play use, with no additional driver or software required. Its stated operating system compatibility includes Windows, macOS, and Linux. The keyboard cable is described as a waterproof USB 2.0 cable and includes a gold-plated connector and an anti-interference magnet ring.

Buyer feedback highlights the lighting and reports that the set works well for gaming, though reliability experiences are mixed: some buyers say keys stopped working, and some report durability problems. This feedback is worth weighing when choosing a set for regular use.

## Best use cases

The K1 suits a desk where a full-size layout and mouse are both useful, whether for PC gaming, laptop use, or everyday typing. For example, the number pad can handle routine data entry while the mouse’s selectable speed levels offer a way to adjust cursor movement between general computer use and games. A wired connection keeps the setup straightforward, while onboard lighting controls make it easy to change the keyboard’s appearance without opening software.

Choose this kind of combo when you want a full-size keyboard and mouse together, a compact keyboard would make more sense when minimizing desk space takes priority. The K1’s 104-key layout, RGB effects, and wired USB connection define its practical appeal.

## What to clarify

**Does the keyboard require software?** No. It is designed to work as a plug-and-play USB keyboard without additional drivers or software, and its lighting can be adjusted with keyboard shortcuts.

**What layout does the keyboard use?** It has a full-size, 104-key QWERTY layout, including function keys and a number pad.

**Can the mouse speed be adjusted?** Yes. The mouse offers six speed settings: 600, 800, 1,200, 1,600, 2,400, and 3,200 DPI.

## Final verdict

For a PC or laptop desk that benefits from a complete wired set, the MageGee K1 brings together a full-size keyboard, customizable RGB lighting, and a mouse with selectable speed levels. Its familiar layout serves typing and number entry, while the lighting and mouse adjustments add useful choices for gaming and everyday use.
