Maamgic Men’s Swim Trunks 7-Inch
Product description
Quick overview
Some swim trunks are best kept at the pool, these are designed to work as casual shorts, too. That makes them worth a look if you’d rather not pack a separate outfit for a beach day.
The lightweight fabric, mesh lining, and quick-dry design are intended to make the shift from water to land more comfortable. Two side pockets and a Velcro-secured back pocket add room for small essentials.
The 7-inch inseam gives you a defined length to compare against your usual shorts. An elastic waist and adjustable drawstring let you adjust the fit.
On-body feel
The mesh lining is a practical detail for swimming, while the breathable fabric is meant to feel less clingy after you get out of the water. The listing also describes the shorts as comfortable for casual wear, so you can picture wearing them from a swim to a walk along the boardwalk without changing first. That dual-use approach is more convenient than packing separate swimwear and everyday shorts, though it won’t replace a dedicated pair of casual shorts if that’s what you need most.
Keep in mind that the back pocket uses a Velcro closure, not a zipper. Its drainage vents are designed to let water and sand out, but the listing doesn’t specify pocket dimensions or how much the shorts hold.
Tips for day-to-day use
Use the side pockets for small items you want to reach quickly, and the back pocket for something you’d rather secure with its Velcro closure. After a swim, the drainage details are intended to help water and sand escape instead of staying trapped in the pockets. For example, they may be handy when you leave the pool and head out for a casual lunch without changing clothes.
The elastic waistband and drawstring offer two ways to adjust the fit. Since no size chart or fabric composition is included in the supplied details, use the available sizing information when choosing a size, and don’t assume the listed comfort or no-chafing claims will feel the same for everyone.
Practical doubts
Can you wear these beyond the beach or pool? They’re described for both swimming and casual wear, making them suitable for a low-key day that moves between the water and nearby activities.
How many pockets are included? There are two side pockets and one back pocket with a Velcro closure and drainage vents.
What length are the shorts? The listed inseam is 7 inches. The supplied information doesn’t include other measurements, so use that figure as a reference when comparing with shorts you already own.
When it makes sense
It suits you if you want one pair for swimming and relaxed outings, value a mesh lining and pocket drainage, and prefer a 7-inch inseam. You may want to skip it if you need zippered pocket security, detailed fabric information, or shorts intended primarily for everyday wear rather than water-to-land use. The central appeal is convenience: fewer outfit changes, with the trade-off that the pocket closure and fit details may not match everyone’s preferences.
