Love's cabin Cotton Muslin Blanket, King Size

A blanket can feel too bulky for a quick nap or too thin to add much comfort to a bed. Love's cabin’s king-size cotton muslin blanket is designed as a lighter, breathable layer for beds and couches, with six gauze layers for a little more substance than a single-layer muslin throw.

Its 108 x 90-inch size also gives you room to spread it across a bed or share it on the couch.

Technical details

This blanket is made from 100% cotton muslin in a six-layer gauze construction. The listed size is 108 x 90 inches, and this version is khaki. The layered fabric is intended to feel lightweight while offering more coverage and warmth than standard muslin. Cotton muslin’s breathable, moisture-wicking character may suit people who prefer a less heavy-feeling layer, though the listing does not provide a warmth rating or fabric weight for comparison.

The design is meant for use across seasons, either on its own or layered over a comforter. That makes it more flexible than a thick, dedicated winter blanket, but it may not provide the same insulation when you need substantial cold-weather warmth. It is also machine washable: wash separately in cold water with mild detergent, tumble dry on low, and do not bleach. The maker says the fabric becomes softer and more elastic after washing, slight size variation may occur.

Getting the most from it

Think of it as an easy-to-reach extra layer rather than a replacement for every blanket in the house. It can go over the bed when you want light coverage, or across the couch for reading, a movie, or a nap. It can also work as a throw while traveling, where a lighter blanket may be easier to carry than a bulky comforter.

It makes sense if you want a cotton layer that can move between a bed and living space, and you prefer breathable gauze to a denser, heavier blanket. If you need a precisely fitted bed covering, bear in mind that slight size variation is possible, measure the area you want to cover without that measurement being an afterthought. You may want to skip it if your priority is a thick, highly insulating blanket or if you need exact dimensions.

Usage tips

For everyday use, spread it over the comforter when you want a softer, lighter-feeling top layer, or fold it at the foot of the bed so it is close by for a nap. On a couch, its broad listed dimensions make it suitable for draping over the seating area rather than treating it as a small personal throw. Wash it separately in cold water with mild detergent, then tumble dry on low. Avoid bleach, and allow for the possibility of some size variation rather than expecting a precision-fit cover.

Practical doubts

Is this blanket suitable for warm-weather use? The listing describes the cotton muslin as breathable and the blanket as lightweight for all-season use. It does not specify a temperature rating, so warmth will depend on your room and layering.

Can I put it in the washing machine? Yes. The care instructions say to wash it separately in cold water with mild detergent and tumble dry on low. Do not bleach.

Does the blanket come in other colors? The product description mentions other colors, including beige, white, black, and gray. This listing is for the khaki version.

Final verdict

This is a practical pick for someone who wants a large cotton muslin blanket that can serve as a bed layer, couch throw, or lightweight travel blanket. Its six-layer construction offers more substance than standard muslin while keeping the design focused on breathable, easy-care comfort. Compared with buying a heavier blanket built mainly for warmth, this one favors lighter coverage and flexible use around the home. Choose it when those priorities match your routine, look elsewhere if substantial insulation or exact sizing matters more.
