## Description

When a Samsung TV needs a replacement remote, the Liokoc BN59-01388A offers straightforward infrared control for compatible Crystal UHD, QLED, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame, and Curved Smart TV models.

Its plug-and-play setup keeps things simple: insert two AAA batteries and start using the remote without programming or pairing. The infrared signal has a stated range of up to 45 feet.

Choose this style of remote for direct button control of everyday TV functions and quick access to streaming apps. It uses infrared rather than voice control, making it a practical fit for viewers who prefer a familiar handheld remote.

## Strengths

Four dedicated shortcut buttons open Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ with a press. This gives frequently used services a clear place on the remote, so there’s no need to navigate through the TV’s menus just to reach a favorite app. The Disney+ button may not work with Samsung TV models made before 2022.

The remote is made from ABS and is designed for comfortable, straightforward use. The manufacturer states that it has been tested for 200,000 clicks and provides a 0.1-second response time. Its infrared operation and stated 45-foot range support everyday control from across a room, while the plug-and-play setup avoids a pairing process.

## The essentials

The BN59-01388A is intended for a broad range of Samsung Smart TVs, including Crystal UHD, QLED, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame, and Curved models. Listed series include CU7000 and DU7200, as well as AU, BU, CU, and DU series, Q60, Q70, Q80, and Q90, and Neo QLED QN70, QN800, QN85, QN90, QN900, and QN950. OLED examples include S85F, S90C, S90D, S90F, S95B, S95C, S95D, and S95F. The Frame models are also listed across several generations, from LS03NAK through LS03F.

Compatibility is the key choice between this replacement and a remote selected for one specific TV model: this one is designed to cover multiple Samsung TV families. Check that your TV’s model is among the compatible models before use. It also serves as a replacement for several Samsung remote model numbers, including BN59-01388A, BN59-01388H, TM2240A, and BN59-01312A. Voice control is not supported.

## How to use it

Insert two AAA batteries, then point the remote toward the TV to use its infrared controls. No programming or pairing is required. The batteries are not included, so have a pair ready for setup. Use the dedicated app buttons for supported services, and keep in mind that the Disney+ shortcut may not function on TVs manufactured before 2022.

## Buying verdict

For Samsung TV owners looking to replace a lost or worn remote, the Liokoc BN59-01388A combines familiar infrared operation, simple setup, and one-touch shortcuts for four popular services. Its broad compatibility across Samsung TV families makes it especially useful when the goal is a direct, easy-to-use replacement rather than a voice-control remote. A one-year manufacturer warranty is stated.
