LifeTree Muslin Swaddle Blankets 47" x 47

For newborn days at home, in the hospital, or out in the stroller, a lightweight blanket can earn its place by doing more than one job. These LifeTree muslin blankets are sized for swaddling and listed for several other everyday uses.

The two-pack combines 70% viscose from bamboo with 30% cotton, in a duck and blue checkered pattern. The fabric is described as soft and breathable, though it needs gentler handling than a sturdier blanket.

Could one blanket cover a feeding, a quick change, and a stroller ride? That flexibility is the appeal here, the tradeoff is that the same piece of muslin can snag on zippers.

Fit and sizing

Each blanket measures 47" x 47", giving you a square of fabric to fold and wrap around a newborn. That generous format also leaves room to use it as a receiving blanket or a surface cover when you need one. The listing notes that pre-shrinking treatment may still leave slight differences in the final size, so the dimensions are a guide rather than a promise of an exact finished measurement.

For a practical example, you could keep one in the diaper bag to wrap the baby after a change, then use it as a light cover over the stroller on the way out. The listing also names burp cloth, nursing cover, play mat, and photo prop among its possible uses. Those are flexible blanket uses, not separate purpose-built pieces, so it won’t offer the tailored shape or features of a dedicated nursing cover or fitted crib sheet.

Pros

The main advantage is versatility: two muslin blankets can rotate between wrapping, receiving, and everyday cleanup or coverage. The 47-inch square gives more room to work with than a small cloth, and the bamboo-derived viscose and cotton blend is presented as soft and breathable against delicate skin. The duck and blue checkered print is intended to suit baby boys or girls, which may also make the set a straightforward baby-shower gift.

You’ll appreciate it if you want simple fabric blankets that can move between home and an outing instead of buying a separate cloth for every task. It may not suit you if you want a structured swaddle, a fitted sheet, or fabric that can take rough handling without snagging. The maker specifically warns that muslin can catch on zippers, so keep it clear of them in a diaper bag or laundry load.

Spec sheet

• Product: Two-pack muslin swaddle blankets
• Size: 47" x 47" each
• Material: 70% viscose from bamboo, 30% cotton
• Pattern: Duck and blue checkered
• Care: Hand wash or machine wash in cold water with mild detergent, tumble dry low

The care instructions are uncomplicated, but the fabric is described as delicate. Separating it from zippered clothing and bags is a sensible step to help avoid pulls. The maker says the blankets are designed for repeated use and washing, the listing does not provide a specific fabric weight or a closure system.

When it makes sense

This set makes sense if you’re building a newborn kit around adaptable blankets and value having a second one available while the other is in use or in the wash. The large square format is useful when you want room to wrap, and the stated care instructions suit routine cold-water washing. If your priority is a specialized product with a defined fit—rather than a blanket you can repurpose—choose that type instead. Buy these for soft, multipurpose muslin coverage, skip them if snag-resistant durability or a purpose-built design matters more.
