## Description

For crown molding, trim work, plumbing, and other carpentry tasks, accurate angle transfer helps you set up a miter cut with less guesswork. The LEXIVON LX-230 combines a 7-inch aluminum body with clear, laser-engraved scales. Its two scales provide readings for miter and single cuts. A swiveling joint helps it follow inside and outside corners.

## Practical tips
Set the protractor against the corner or work angle you need to measure, then use its scale reading to transfer that angle to the miter saw. The two scales support both miter-cut and single-cut setups, making the tool useful when a project calls for different cut approaches. For example, when laying out trim around an inside corner, the swiveling O-ring mechanism is designed to move with the tool and provide a smooth reading, the same feature serves outside corners.

How do you make the reading easier to carry from the workpiece to the saw? The direct-reading scales are designed for that transfer, while their permanent laser-engraved markings stay easy to reference during layout. A fine-friction system helps hold the protractor in position as you take and transfer a measurement. For crown molding work, the detailed measuring guide also includes crown molding layout and compound tables to support setup.

The aluminum construction offers a different approach from a plastic angle finder, with a 1/4-inch-thick body designed to resist bending. Buyers also highlight the tool’s solid construction, readable markings, and usefulness for setting up miters, including challenging angle projects. Those impressions can help shoppers weighing a sturdy metal measuring tool against a simpler plastic alternative.

## Included in the package
The package includes one 7-inch aluminum protractor. A detailed measuring guide is provided with crown molding layout and compound tables, adding a reference for projects that involve molding and compound cuts.

## When it makes sense
Choose the LX-230 when your work involves measuring a corner and transferring its angle directly to a miter saw, whether you’re fitting trim, planning crown molding, or handling plumbing and general carpentry layouts. Its adjustable, lockable design and dual scales make it useful across both miter and single-cut setups, while the engraved markings are made for quick visual reference. For a homeowner tackling a trim project or a carpenter working through varied corner angles, this aluminum protractor brings the measuring and transfer steps together in one compact tool.
