Levoit NeoClassic 650S LUH-N651S-WUS Smart Cool-Mist Humidifier, 6.2L

For a bedroom or nursery that needs steady moisture overnight, the Levoit NeoClassic 650S combines a 6.2L tank with top-fill access and quiet operation. Its app and voice controls add options for people who want to adjust settings remotely. If you only need occasional humidification, a simpler unit may be enough, this model is aimed at broader room coverage and more control.

What stands out

The 6.2L tank is rated for up to 62 hours of runtime, and the listed effective area is 536 square feet. That capacity may suit a large room or a household that would rather refill less often than with a smaller-tank humidifier. The manufacturer lists a mist output of 320 ml/h, while the top-fill design provides access from above for refilling.

Auto Mode is designed to maintain a selected humidity level, with stated sensor accuracy of ±5%. The 360-degree rotating nozzle can direct mist around the room, and the VeSync app supports Smart Scene settings for mist and lighting. Voice control is also listed. A night light and a stated noise level of 26 dB make the feature set relevant to bedrooms, kids’ rooms, and nurseries, though individual preferences for light and sound can differ.

Buyer feedback is mixed on practical results. Some customers appreciate the quiet operation and easy refilling, while reports about cleaning and humidity output vary. Some also describe leaks. Those accounts are not a guarantee of what any individual unit will do, but they are worth weighing if consistent output or spill-free use is a priority.

Key takeaways

A solid pick if you want a larger tank, app-based controls, and automatic humidity adjustment in one cool-mist humidifier. Its listed room coverage and long maximum runtime make it more suited to extended use than a compact model intended for a small area. For a practical setup, place it in a bedroom or living room where the rotating nozzle can direct mist, then use Auto Mode or the app to adjust operation to your routine.

The cleaning design is partly removable, and the product description says water-contact parts can be disassembled. However, not every part can go in the dishwasher. Not the best choice if you want all components to be dishwasher-safe: the tank and silencer cover require hand washing. The detachable tray is the part specified as dishwasher-safe.

Care tips

Use purified or distilled water, as recommended in the product guidance, to help avoid white dust or possible humming. For fragrance, add 3–5 drops of essential oil to the aroma chamber, not the water tank. The detachable tray can be washed in the dishwasher, but the tank and silencer cover must be hand-washed. The cleaning instructions also say not to exceed 70°C, use heated drying, or use sterilization cycles, dishwasher cleaning is recommended no more than once a week.

Practical questions

Can it run through the night? The listed maximum runtime is up to 62 hours, though actual runtime can vary with settings and use.

Can essential oils go in the water tank? No. The instructions direct users to add them to the aroma chamber instead.

Which parts are dishwasher-safe? The detachable tray is dishwasher-safe. Hand-wash the water tank and silencer cover.

Should you buy it?

Choose the NeoClassic 650S if you want a top-fill humidifier with a large tank, app and voice controls, Auto Mode, and features intended for bedroom or larger-room use. Its control options and stated coverage set it apart from a basic humidifier with fewer adjustments. If you prefer a very simple device, or want every part to be dishwasher-safe, another design may suit your routine better. Buyer comments on cleaning, output, and leakage are mixed, so those concerns deserve consideration alongside the listed features.
