## Description

Set up a compact workstation for office tasks, development, or everyday computing without giving up the flexibility of a desktop. The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 5 combines an Intel Core 5 210H processor with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD. Its 1L chassis can sit on a desk or be mounted behind a monitor with a compatible VESA mount. Windows 11 Pro and support for two displays round out a practical work setup.

## Pros
The small 1L footprint helps keep a desk clear, while the VESA-mount-compatible design offers another way to organize a workspace. That can be especially useful in shared offices, hot-desking areas, or a home office where desk space also needs to accommodate other equipment.

The Intel Core 5 210H has eight cores and 12 threads, paired here with 16GB DDR5 memory. A 512GB PCIe 4.0x4 NVMe SSD provides storage for work files and applications. Together, these components suit common productivity tasks, multitasking, and development work in a compact desktop format.

For a multi-screen desk, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4b support connection to two displays, including dual 4K display support. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Gigabit Ethernet provide options for wireless devices and network connections. Front USB-C and USB-A ports, along with rear USB ports, make it easier to connect everyday peripherals.

## What matters most
Windows 11 Pro makes this desktop a fit for professional environments that use Windows’ business features. The discrete TPM 2.0 and Kensington Security Slot add hardware-based security and a physical securing option for an office setup. These details can matter when choosing a small computer for an individual workstation or a standardized business deployment.

Compared with a traditional tower desktop, the neo 50q prioritizes a compact footprint and flexible placement. Its two display outputs and mix of front and rear ports keep it suited to a fixed desk setup, while the small chassis helps preserve room for monitors and accessories. A USB keyboard and mouse are included, giving a workspace the core input devices for getting started.

Customers describe the computer as compact and easy to set up, and some highlight its performance for their tasks. That feedback aligns with its intended role as a small desktop for work and everyday use, while individual experiences can vary by workload and setup.

## Who it’s for
This configuration suits professionals, students, and home-office users looking for a compact Windows desktop for productivity, education, or development. It also makes sense for workspaces that need two connected displays or a computer that can be positioned behind a monitor to keep the desktop less crowded. It suits you if you want a small-footprint PC with a Core 5 processor, 16GB of DDR5 memory, and built-in wireless connectivity.

## Buying verdict
Choose the ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 5 for a desktop setup that puts workspace flexibility and everyday business capability in a compact 1L design. Its dual-display support, Windows 11 Pro, practical port selection, and VESA mounting compatibility make it a considered fit for offices and home workstations where a traditional tower would take up more desk space.
