## Description

For chilly walks, holiday photos, or relaxing at home, this green LeLePet sweater is designed around a dachshund’s long torso and short legs. Its extended coverage and snug, stretchy knit offer a dog-specific alternative to a standard sweater cut, while the turtleneck adds coverage around the neck.

The sleeveless pullover style keeps the design simple for dressing and leaves the legs free for everyday movement.

## Benefits

A dachshund’s shape can make ordinary dog sweaters ride up or leave the body uncovered. This sweater is made with an extended belly and body coverage intended for long-backed dogs, helping keep the garment in place during walks. The sleeveless cut supports movement for play, and the stretchy knit gives the pullover fit flexibility. A turtleneck adds warmth for fall and winter outings, while the breathable, lightweight design also suits indoor lounging.

The knitted dachshund theme brings a festive touch to Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings, holiday photos, and parties. Its solid green color also works for everyday wear, so it can be part of a regular cold-weather wardrobe rather than reserved for special occasions. Customers describe the sweater as warm and cute, and appreciate its coverage, feedback on length and fit varies, making it useful to measure your dog before choosing a size.

## What to know

This is the green, size M version of a pullover sweater offered in sizes XS through XL. It is designed specifically for dachshunds, with a shape intended to accommodate their long torsos and short legs. The turtleneck, stretchable knit, and sleeveless cut distinguish it from a basic dog sweater with a shorter body or sleeves. It is intended for fall and winter wear and is not water resistant, so its role is as a cozy clothing layer rather than rain protection.

For a practical fit, measure your dog’s neck, chest, and back length, then compare those measurements with the size guidance. Buyers report both satisfying fits and cases where the sweater feels large or too long, so back length is especially relevant for a dachshund. The listed minimum weight recommendation is 8 pounds. A standard, non-tailored sweater may suit buyers looking for a general-purpose cut, this design is the more targeted choice when extended coverage for a dachshund’s body shape is the priority.

## Care tips

Machine wash the sweater according to its care instructions. After washing, make sure it is ready to wear before dressing your dog. For regular use, check that the turtleneck and body sit comfortably and that the extended coverage stays in position as your dog moves.

## Final verdict

For dachshund owners looking for a cold-weather layer with a longer body, a pull-on fit, and a festive knitted look, this sweater brings those details together in one everyday-ready design. Its green color suits seasonal photos and gatherings, while the turtleneck and extended coverage make it a practical choice for walks and lounging during fall and winter.
