LavviTech Bird Spikes Plastic Outdoor Deterrent, 30-Pack, 41.9 ft Coverage

Use these LavviTech bird spikes to cover outdoor ledges, railings, fences, or roof edges where birds tend to perch. The 30 plastic strips provide 41.9 ft of total coverage, and their staggered long and short tips are designed to discourage landing, climbing, and nesting. The product is also intended to help keep cats and squirrels away from treated areas.

Each strip measures 16.8 in long, with a flexible fit that can be trimmed for corners and narrower ledges. That makes it easier to adapt coverage to different outdoor surfaces.

Strengths

The staggered spike pattern reduces open landing gaps along a covered edge, while the layered pointed tips create an uncomfortable contact point intended to deter animals without causing harm. All-weather plastic construction suits outdoor use, including around mailboxes and air-conditioning units. The black finish keeps the deterrent visually simple against many exterior surfaces.

The package includes 30 strips, 50 screws, 50 zip ties, and a pair of gloves. Depending on the surface, installation options include screws, zip ties, double-sided tape, or glue. This gives you more than one way to secure the strips across the areas you want to protect.

What matters most

Coverage and placement are the main considerations. The listed total coverage is 41.9 ft, and the strips can be positioned along a fence, railing, roof edge, or other suitable outdoor ledge. For corners and narrow sections, trimming each strip helps shape the barrier to the area rather than leaving awkward gaps. Where would the deterrent be most useful? Start with the surfaces where perching or climbing is an issue, then choose an attachment method suited to that surface.

Buyers’ impressions of effectiveness and sturdiness are mixed: some say the spikes help keep birds from roosting, while others report less success or pieces separating. Some also describe the included screws as very small or insufficient for their installation. The kit provides several attachment methods, so the choice of fixing can be matched to the surface and setup.

Usage tips

Wear the included gloves when handling the pointed strips, and plan the placement before securing them. Trim sections as needed to fit corners or narrow areas, then attach them using screws, zip ties, double-sided tape, or glue as appropriate for the surface. Keep the tips directed across the area you want to discourage animals from using, rather than leaving uncovered landing spaces between strips.

What to clarify

Where can these bird spikes be installed? They are designed for outdoor use on fences, railings, roofs, mailboxes, air conditioners, and similar surfaces where a deterrent strip can be secured.

Can the strips be adjusted for smaller areas? Yes. Each strip can be trimmed to fit narrow ledges, corners, and other hard-to-cover sections.

What comes with the 30-pack? The package includes 30 spike strips, 50 screws, 50 zip ties, and one pair of gloves. The strips can also be installed with double-sided tape or glue.

When it makes sense

A solid pick if you want to create a defined outdoor barrier along several edges using trim-to-fit plastic strips. Its 41.9 ft total coverage, multiple attachment options, and pointed staggered design make it suitable for addressing perching or climbing around fences, railings, roofs, and other listed outdoor areas.
