The Latepis 5x7 Area Rug leans into a fluffy, shaggy “fur” feel, with an all-polyester build aimed at staying comfortable underfoot. It’s the kind of rug you buy for the experience—soft texture, a cozy aesthetic, and the ability to keep it reasonably clean—more than for crisp, low-profile floor styling. That said, it’s not perfect for every setup (especially if you want something ultra-flat or very minimal in maintenance). ## What it is and what it’s for This is a white, furry faux sheepskin area rug designed for spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, kids’ rooms, dorms, and apartments. On paper, the goal is simple: create that plush, cozy feel without going for actual sheepskin. A realistic example: imagine placing it in front of a bedroom bed or near a sofa. The first few steps on it are the point—your feet feel the softness, and the room instantly looks more “finished” compared with bare flooring. ## Key takeaways The biggest reason to consider it is the combination of comfort and practicality. The rug’s plush pile is made from 100% polyester fiber, and the design is described as pet- and human-friendly, which matters if you’re trying to keep day-to-day life comfortable. The brand also emphasizes durability and color-resistance, including the idea that it won’t fade even after multiple washes. If you’re shopping for a fluffy rug but don’t want it to be a “wash at your own risk” situation, this is where it tries to earn its place. One more thing: it’s described as having good elasticity to keep the texture looking fluffy, plus a non-slip approach is mentioned (the rug is positioned as non-slip in the product title). Still, “non-slip” can vary by floor type, so you’ll want to think about what surface you’re placing it on. ## What stands out in everyday use On the feel side, this rug is built around softness—described as having “excellent elasticity,” with a thick plush construction intended to deliver a texture that stays inviting. On the upkeep side, cleaning is presented as straightforward: you can vacuum, machine wash, wipe with a damp towel, and lay it flat to dry. The instructions also suggest shaking it before use to help fluff the fur back up. That mix—plush feel plus washability—tends to be a strong match for households where spills happen, kids visit, or pets share the space. But keep expectations realistic: fluffy shag rugs can collect lint and dust more visibly than low-pile styles, so vacuuming is part of the deal. ## Potential limits to keep in mind This is a high-plush, shaggy look. If you prefer a sleek, low-profile rug that won’t trap footfall texture or that rolls under furniture easily, you may find shag like this a bit too much. Also, while the brand claims it’s fade resistant “even after multiple washes,” the exact results can depend on how you wash and dry it over time. And because the rug is white, it may show dirt faster than darker shades—something to consider if your space runs busy. ## Tech summary - Material: 100% polyester fiber (plush/faux fur) - Style: faux sheepskin look, fluffy shag - Cleaning approach: vacuum, machine wash, wipe with damp towel, lay flat to dry, shake to re-fluff ## Buying verdict Worth considering if you want a plush, fluffy, faux sheepskin-style rug for a bedroom, living room, or similar everyday space—and you care about comfort underfoot plus a cleaning routine that doesn’t feel overly complicated. It might not be the best match if you need a super low-pile rug, want a very minimal aesthetic, or you’re not willing to vacuum and refresh the pile regularly to keep that “furry” look. Before you buy, double-check how your floor handles rugs (especially for the non-slip claim) and make sure you’re comfortable with the maintenance rhythm that comes with shaggy textures. ## Quick answers ### Is this rug washable?
