Krifey Waterproof Dog Blanket 40" x 50

What to know

A waterproof inner layer is the standout feature here: it’s designed to help keep spills and moisture from reaching the sofa, bed, or other covered furniture. That makes this blanket more than a soft place for a dog to settle.

The reversible design pairs corduroy with sherpa fleece, giving your pet two textures to lie on. The listing also describes a sherpa and faux-fur feel, so the emphasis is on a plush, cozy surface rather than a thin furniture cover.

It’s machine washable, and the product description lists OEKO-TEX-certified materials and reinforced stitching. Those details may appeal if you want a blanket for regular use, though they don’t establish how it will hold up to every dog’s chewing or scratching.

Fit and sizing

The blanket measures 40" x 50" and is described for medium breeds and kennels. Before choosing it, think about the area you want covered: it may work as a resting spot on a couch or bed, but it won’t cover every large piece of furniture. Keep in mind that the stated dimensions—not the broad furniture-protection wording—are the clearest guide to how much surface it can cover.

For a practical check, picture your dog curled up on its usual sofa spot and compare that area with the blanket’s footprint. If you need coverage across an entire sectional or bed, a larger cover would be a more suitable approach.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use it where your dog already likes to lounge: spread it over a couch cushion, lay it on a bed, or place it in a kennel as a softer surface. It can also serve as a cover in the car, according to the product description. The reversible textures give you a choice of side, while the waterproof layer is intended to help shield the surface beneath from accidents and everyday moisture.

When it needs cleaning, the blanket is listed as machine washable. The description doesn’t specify washing temperatures or drying instructions, so follow the care label rather than assuming a particular cycle. From the way it is set up, it’s aimed at combining a cozy resting layer with furniture protection, not replacing a fitted, full-coverage couch protector.

Practical doubts

Is it machine washable? Yes. The product description says it is machine washable, but doesn’t provide specific cycle or drying guidance.

Does it have a waterproof layer? It’s described as having a leakproof inner shield intended to help keep spills and moisture from reaching furniture. The listing doesn’t give performance test details.

Can it be used in a car? The product description lists car rides as a use. Its 40" x 50" size is the available fit reference, so compare that with the area you want to cover.

Should you buy it?

A solid pick if you want one soft, reversible layer for a dog’s usual spot and value a water-resistant barrier beneath it. The washable construction also suits owners who expect to clean a pet blanket as part of routine care. Compared with a thin, single-purpose furniture cover, this one puts more emphasis on a plush resting surface as well as protection.

You may want to skip it if you need full coverage for a large sofa, a specified level of leak protection, or details about care settings before buying. The listing gives a useful size and describes its intended materials and features, but leaves those performance and care specifics open.
