## Description

Bakers building a layered cake need a base that provides support and presents the finished design neatly. Kootek’s 8-inch cake drums use four layers of corrugated cardboard and are 1/2 inch thick. Need a clean-looking base that can support a tiered display? The smooth white surface puts the cake in focus, while the six-pack offers bases for multiple baking projects.

## Best use cases
Use these round boards beneath cakes and desserts when you want a more substantial base than a thin cake circle. The 1/2-inch thickness and corrugated construction are designed to support multi-layer cakes, making the boards suitable for wedding, birthday, and baby shower creations. Their flat surface is sized for cakes under 6 inches, leaving room around the cake for a visible white border.

The white finish also works well when the base is part of the presentation. It gives a cake a simple display surface without competing with its frosting or decorations. For a party table, place the finished cake on a drum to create a defined display, the same boards can also be used to present other desserts such as cupcakes. Each board is disposable, so it suits occasions where a ready-to-use cake base is more practical than a reusable serving platter.

## Tech specs

## Why it makes sense
A thin board can serve for a simple cake presentation, while a thicker drum gives the base more structure for layered designs. Kootek combines four corrugated layers with a 1/2-inch profile, providing a sturdy platform for placing and displaying a cake. The smooth surface is intended to make excess buttercream easier to wipe away, and the white color keeps attention on the dessert rather than the base.

Buyer feedback highlights the boards’ appearance, thickness, and stability, including comments about using them for layered cakes. Some buyers also report grease spots despite the grease-resistant surface, and a few mention dents in the drums. These differing experiences are useful context when choosing a disposable cardboard base for a cake that will be on display.

With six boards in the pack, bakers can keep several bases available for separate cakes or events. The 8-inch round format gives each cake a clear footprint, while the substantial profile helps the base look intentional as part of the finished presentation. It is a practical alternative to choosing a thinner circle when the cake has multiple layers and the support itself will be visible.

## Should you buy it?
Choose the Kootek CB008 if you need several white, disposable cake bases for layered cakes or dessert displays. Its 8-inch round shape, 1/2-inch thickness, and corrugated construction make it especially relevant for cakes under 6 inches that benefit from a sturdy, neat-looking platform. The six-pack is useful for home bakers preparing more than one cake as well as for special-event baking, where a clean presentation and a defined base matter.
