K KitchenTour KT-VANT-1 Vacant/Occupied Door Sign, Silver Magnetic Slider

The sliding indicator switches between VACANT and OCCUPIED, giving people a clear room-status cue without relying on a spoken interruption. Its contrasting red and green text is designed to make the setting easy to read at a glance.

At 7" x 2", this silver-finish sign is sized for a door, cabinet, or similar surface. It uses a magnetic mount and includes double-sided adhesive tape, so installation does not require drilling or special tools.

For a bathroom or office where people need to know whether a room is in use, the movable status display is more informative than a fixed privacy sign. It can also suit meeting rooms and other spaces where availability changes during the day.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the slider to match the room’s current status before closing the door. The display is intended for changing between vacant and occupied, so it is a practical choice for shared bathrooms, home offices, and meeting spaces where a simple visual signal can reduce uncertainty.

The magnetic mounting option may suit a compatible metal surface, while the included adhesive tapes offer another way to attach the sign. The product information names stainless steel and wood among possible surfaces, but installation results can depend on the specific door finish. Its soft protective backing is intended to help prevent scratching where the magnet contacts a surface.

Customer feedback generally describes the sign as functional in office and bathroom settings, and buyers often appreciate that it stays in place while the slider is used. Some also like its metallic appearance. Size feedback is mixed: some find the dimensions suitable for their doors, while others consider the sign smaller than expected. Its listed measurements are worth comparing with the door and the viewing distance before choosing it.

You’ll appreciate it if you want a changeable room-status indicator rather than a fixed sign or a door hanger that must be removed or repositioned. You may want to skip it if your space calls for a larger display than its 7" x 2" format.

How to use it

Choose a suitable mounting method for the door or surface, then position the sign where visitors can see it. Slide the indicator to VACANT when the room is available and to OCCUPIED when it is in use. The stated installation approach avoids drilling, the product information does not specify a complete box inventory beyond the sign and two adhesive tapes.

Is it worth it?

This sign makes sense when the main need is a compact, manually updated status display for a bathroom, office, or meeting room. Its magnetic and adhesive mounting options provide flexibility, while the colored slider makes the two states distinct. Compared with a basic static notice, it communicates availability more directly, compared with a larger sign, its smaller dimensions may be less prominent. Choose it for a clear door-level cue, and base the decision on whether its size suits the location.
