KastKing Brutus Fishing Landing Net, 31-Inch PVC Mesh, Foldable Aluminum Frame

A compact landing net can be useful when you’re bringing a fish alongside a kayak, boat, or bank. The listed KastKing Brutus version has a 31-inch total length and PVC mesh, giving you a defined size to compare with the reach and storage space you need.

Its aluminum frame folds for storage, and the included bag provides a way to carry or stow it between trips. The EVA handle is designed for a secure grip, including when hands are wet.

One important distinction: the listed 31-inch version is not extendable. Other sizes in the Brutus range have different configurations, so don’t assume the longer reach mentioned for the product line applies to this version.

Key takeaways

This version pairs PVC netting with an aluminum frame and a foldable hoop. The product information lists its total length as 31 inches and its weight as 0.56 kg. The handle is made with bright orange EVA foam, which is easy to spot among fishing gear and intended to provide a nonslip grip. A storage bag is included.

Buyer feedback often highlights portability, size, and use in settings such as kayak fishing and piers. Opinions on folding are mixed: some buyers find the net convenient to collapse, while others say it can be difficult to open again. That’s worth considering if quick setup matters to you.

How it fits

For bank or boat fishing, a folding net can be easier to pack than a rigid hoop. The 31-inch, nonextendable configuration is the more compact choice within the options described, while the product line also includes larger sizes and an extended-handle option. Choose according to the distance you need to reach, the listed version does not provide that extra extension.

The PVC mesh is one of the available net materials, silicone is another option in the range. The product information describes silicone as a softer choice for anglers who plan to release fish, but that feature should not be attributed to this PVC version. You’ll appreciate it if you want a folding net with a carry bag and a clearly specified, nonextendable length. It might not be a great match if your fishing setup calls for the longer reach of an extendable handle.

Usage tips

Before heading out, check that the net’s fixed length suits the spot where you expect to land fish. The folding hoop uses a release switch for storage, so get familiar with the folding and reopening action before relying on it during a landing. When packing up, use the included bag to keep the net together with your gear. The orange EVA handle can also make the net easier to locate in a crowded kit or low light, according to the product description.

Questions before you buy

Does this 31-inch version extend? No. The listed specification identifies it as 31 inches total and not extendable. The product range includes other sizes, with an extension handle on the largest size described.

Is the net PVC or silicone? This listed version is PVC mesh. Silicone is offered as a separate option in the product range.

Does the hoop fold for storage? Yes. The product description says the hoop folds and uses a release switch, and a storage bag is included. Buyer feedback is mixed on how easily the net opens again after folding.

Should you buy it?

This KastKing Brutus version makes sense if you want a folding, bagged landing net and a 31-inch fixed length works for your usual fishing spots. Its aluminum construction, PVC mesh, and EVA grip cover practical needs without the added reach of an extendable handle. If you often need to land fish from farther away, compare it with the larger, extendable configuration in the same range before choosing.
