## Description

This smart 3-way dimmer switch kit lets you update multiway lighting circuits in stairways, hallways, and living rooms for remote and voice-controlled dimming. It offers adjustable brightness from 1% to 100% and scheduling via the app, making gentle wake-up lights or timed night lighting simple to set up.

## Key Points

The kit supports app control and works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings for voice operation. According to the manufacturer, it connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and does not require a separate hub. The package replaces traditional 3-way switches and includes an app-guided installation flow, though consulting a licensed electrician is recommended if you are not comfortable with household wiring. ⚡️

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Kasa Smart KS230 KIT v2**
- Dimming range: 1% to 100%
- Bulb support: incandescent up to 300W, dimmable LED up to 150W
- Connectivity: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, no hub required
- Certification: ETL certified

## The Essentials

This model requires a neutral wire in the switch box, so check existing wiring before attempting installation. The device is designed to replace two-location switching setups and lets you control lights from either the physical switch or a mobile device. The two-year warranty is provided by the manufacturer, and the product is part of a family used by millions of customers. 💡

## Usage Recommendations

Use the scheduling function to automate evening and morning scenes. For homes with multiple dimmers on the same circuit, verify compatible wiring arrangements and match the load type to the specified wattages for LED and incandescent lamps. Note that the switch operates only on 2.4 GHz networks, so dual-band routers may need separate configuration if 5 GHz is currently prioritized. 🚧
