## Description

## Getting the most from it

The compact Kasa Smart EP10P2 puts plug-in devices under app, voice, and schedule control, so lamps, fans, and other household electronics can fit more easily into a smart-home routine. Connect each plug to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, then manage it with the Kasa or Tapo app, or use [amazon](https://www.amazon.com/-/dp/B091FXQQMQ?tag=globalofertit-20) Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control. No hub is required.

The two-pack lets you automate devices at separate outlets, whether you want a lamp to switch on at a set time or a fan to turn off with a timer. Its mini profile is designed to leave the second outlet on a standard wall socket available.

## What you’ll notice day to day

Once connected, the plugs offer a straightforward way to automate appliances that use a standard outlet, without replacing the appliance itself. For example, set a schedule for a living-room lamp to turn on in the evening, or use a countdown timer for a fan. You can also switch connected devices on or off remotely through the app, which is useful when you’re away from home and want to manage a plugged-in light or other supported device.

Compared with smart bulbs, a smart plug can be a more direct choice when you want to control a lamp or other plug-in appliance as a whole. The EP10P2 also suits voice-led routines: use Alexa or Google Assistant to control a connected device hands-free. Buyers often praise the setup process and the convenience of app and voice control, while feedback about Wi-Fi connection and reliability is mixed. A stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection is part of the setup.

## Before you decide

**Does the EP10P2 need a hub?** No. It connects directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, and setup is completed through the Kasa app.

**Can I control the plugs with voice commands?** Yes. The product supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control, as well as app-based on/off control.

**Can I automate when a connected device turns on or off?** Yes. Use schedules for recurring routines or a timer for a timed shutoff. These controls can help make lights and other connected appliances easier to manage throughout the day.

## Buying verdict

The Kasa Smart EP10P2 is a practical fit for adding scheduled, remote, or voice control to everyday plug-in devices. Its two-plug format, compact design, 15A rating, and Alexa and Google Assistant support make it a useful starting point for automating lamps, fans, and other household electronics through Wi-Fi.
