## Description

This roll-up chess and checkers mat brings tournament-ready play to travel and family nights. Lightweight and durable, it folds to fit a storage bag for easy carrying, and the algebraic coordinates help record moves during practice or casual matches.

Key points

The board meets US Chess Federation and FIDE requirements for official tournament use, so it works for study sessions and competitive play alike. As a **portable chess set**, it balances portability with a heavy weight feel when laid flat, reducing wrinkles and keeping pieces steady. Keep in mind that small parts present a choking hazard for children under 4 years, according to the manufacturer.

Technical details

- Name: **Juegoal 20" Portable Chess & Checkers Set**
- Size: 20" board with 2.25" squares
- Material: thick rubber mousepad mat
- Pieces included: 32 chess pieces and 26 checker pieces
- Storage: soft green carry canvas bag

Who it’s for

You’ll appreciate it if you want a compact set to practice tactics on the go, take to clubs, or bring to parties for casual matches. It suits learners who value algebraic coordinates and coaches who need a portable demonstration board. It might not be a great match if you prefer rigid folding wood boards or magnetic sets for vertical play, since this mat rolls and lies flat rather than locking into a hard case.

Benefits

The roll-up design makes transport simple and the included bag keeps everything together, so packing for a picnic or a club meeting is fast. The heavy-weight feel when unrolled gives a stable playing surface that resists creasing, and the clear printed grid with letters and numbers helps recording moves and learning notation. Extra queens and extra checkers are included to ease promotions and replace lost pieces, which is handy for longer practice sessions. The instruction sheet adds quick guidance for newcomers, while the durable rubber surface is UV and scratch resistant for repeated outdoor and indoor use.
