## Description

For a porch, window, or Christmas tree without a nearby outlet, the Joomer 88-B200-003 string lights run on four AA batteries and provide 66 feet of multicolor illumination. The 200 LEDs and eight lighting modes make them suited to seasonal displays where flexible placement matters more than plugging into a wall.

A built-in timer runs the lights for six hours, then switches them off for 18 hours. Batteries are not included, so you’ll need to have those ready before decorating.

## Quick overview

This is a linear, battery-powered light string for indoor or outdoor holiday decorating. Its 66-foot length and 200 LEDs can be arranged along a fence, around a doorway, or across a tree, the lead length is 0.98 ft, and the bulbs are spaced 3.9 inches apart. Multicolor LEDs offer a more varied look than a single-color string, while the button on the battery box controls power and lighting modes.

The eight settings include steady-on, twinkle, chasing, slow fade, and other flashing or changing sequences. A memory function saves the last selected mode. The timer is convenient for a display that should follow a regular evening schedule, but changing the mode or switching the lights off and on restarts the timer cycle. That detail matters if you adjust the display after it has already been running.

The listing gives an IPX4 rating and describes the lights as suitable for indoor and outdoor use. For a display that needs to plug in continuously, a corded set is a different approach, this model’s battery power is useful where outlet access would constrain placement.

## Maintenance

Four AA batteries are required and are not included. The product information advises clearing dust and moisture from the battery case before installing them and avoiding use above 104°F (40°C), since AA batteries are not intended for that temperature. Battery life can vary in practice: buyer feedback is mixed, with some reporting use through the holiday season and others saying they needed frequent replacements.

Keep the battery box in mind when choosing a location, since it is part of the setup and needs to be accessible for battery changes. The lights are listed as IPX4, but that rating should not be read as a reason to leave the battery compartment exposed to moisture.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For a tree or patio display, decide where the battery box will sit before arranging the full string. Then select a mode with the control button and activate the timer at the time you want the daily cycle to begin. If you change modes later, the six-hour on period starts again, so the automatic shutoff will happen later than it would have otherwise.

Buyer comments praise the appearance and appreciate the timer, while reports on brightness, battery life, and reliability are mixed. That makes these lights easier to recommend for decorative color and flexible placement than for a display where consistent brightness over an extended period is the main requirement.

## Practical questions

**Do the batteries come with the lights?** No. The set requires four AA batteries, which must be supplied separately.

**Can the lights stay on continuously?** One of the eight settings is steady-on. The timer can also be left inactive, but the product details do not specify battery runtime for continuous use.

**What happens if I change the mode while the timer is running?** The timer cycle restarts when the lights are switched on or off or when the mode is changed.

## Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want a long multicolor string for a tree, window, or outdoor decoration where a power outlet is inconvenient, and you value several lighting patterns plus a recurring timer. The stated length, bulb count, mode options, and saved setting provide useful control over a seasonal display without requiring a plug-in setup.

Better avoided if you need guaranteed long battery life or consistently bright, dependable lighting for extended use: buyer reports on those points are divided, and the batteries are an ongoing requirement. For occasional holiday decorating and flexible placement, the battery-powered format is the key reason to choose this set over a corded alternative.
