## Tips for day-to-day use
The reinforced, folded edges have poly rope sewn through the hems, helping support the tarp when it is secured. Aluminum grommets sit at 20-inch intervals along the edges, giving you regular attachment points for tying it to a stationary structure. Use the included rope or zip ties to fasten it, and position the cover so it spans the area you want to shield.

For a greenhouse, the clear surface allows light through while providing a waterproof cover. On a patio, deck, or porch, it can serve as a transparent barrier against rain and wind. Around a chicken coop or pet enclosure, visibility makes it easier to look inside while the cover is in place. Compared with an opaque tarp, this clear format is the practical choice when seeing through the cover or allowing daylight into the covered area matters.

## Everyday use
The 8x20 ft format suits longer covered areas, such as a greenhouse run, patio edge, or enclosure. Its grommets and reinforced perimeter make it straightforward to attach along a frame or other fixed points. Buyers praise the tarp’s durability, thickness, and ability to stay secured with its grommets. Feedback on clarity is mixed: some describe it as clear, while another finds it hazy, so the tarp is best suited to applications where visibility is helpful rather than a precision viewing surface.

## Before you decide
**How transparent is the tarp?** It is described as 90% transparent, allowing daylight through and making it possible to see into a covered enclosure. Buyer feedback on clarity varies, so expectations can differ by use.

**How can it be secured?** Reinforced edges have aluminum grommets spaced 20 inches apart. Tie through the grommets to stationary points, the package includes a 33 ft rope and 20 zip ties.

**What areas can the 8x20 ft size cover?** The tarp measures 240 inches long by 96 inches wide. It can be used for applications such as patios, greenhouses, chicken coops, camping, and garden coverage, match the dimensions to the area you plan to cover.

## When it makes sense
Choose this clear 8-mil PE tarp when you need a waterproof cover that still admits light and keeps the covered area visible. Its long format, reinforced hems, and spaced grommets support practical use across greenhouses, patios, and animal enclosures, while the included tie-down supplies help you secure it for the setup at hand.
