## Description

True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 uses six microphones to respond to surrounding sounds, helping make the JBL Live 780NC a practical choice for listening at work, while traveling, or relaxing at home. JBL Signature Sound with Hi-Res Audio brings detail to music, podcasts, and videos, with JBL Spatial Sound adding a three-dimensional presentation to stereo content.

The over-ear design folds for easier packing, and multipoint pairing lets you connect two Bluetooth devices and switch between them. Choose wireless listening for everyday convenience or use the included USB-C to 3.5 mm cable for a wired connection. The Sand finish gives this pair a distinctive look without changing its all-purpose listening focus.

## Compatibility & requirements
The Live 780NC connects wirelessly with Bluetooth devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, smart speakers, televisions, and gaming consoles. Multipoint pairing supports two connected Bluetooth devices at once, which is useful when moving between a tablet playing a video and a phone for calls. The included cable also provides a wired listening option through a 3.5 mm connection.

For calls, two beamforming microphones and an AI-trained noise-canceling algorithm are designed to help reduce traffic, wind, and background hum. You can adjust how much outside sound you hear in the JBL Headphones app, and use the app to fine-tune sound in wired or wireless mode. Buyers often praise the sound and noise cancellation, feedback on comfort and fit is more mixed, so the over-ear shape is worth considering if earcup space is a priority.

## Getting the most from it
For a commute or a focused work session, adaptive noise cancellation can help reduce distractions, while the app lets you set the level of outside sound you want to hear. At home, JBL Spatial Sound can make stereo movies and music feel more immersive. When you need to move between devices, multipoint pairing makes it easier to switch without manually disconnecting and reconnecting each time.

If you prefer fewer cables, use Bluetooth and take advantage of the long stated battery life. For a wired setup, connect with the supplied USB-C to 3.5 mm cable, Hi-Res Audio is supported in both listening modes. The foldable design and included protective case also make it straightforward to pack the headphones for a trip or store them between uses.

## Questions before you buy
**How long does the battery last?** The stated playback time is up to 80 hours with noise cancelling off and up to 50 hours with it on. A 5-minute fast charge provides up to 4 hours of playback.

**Can I connect the headphones to two devices?** Yes. Multipoint pairing lets you connect two Bluetooth devices and switch between them, such as a laptop and a phone.

**Can I use them with a cable?** Yes. The included USB-C to analog 3.5 mm cable supports wired listening, and Hi-Res Audio is supported in wired and wireless modes.

## Final verdict
The JBL Live 780NC suits listeners who want over-ear headphones for both focused listening and everyday device switching. Adaptive noise cancelling, app-based sound adjustments, wired and wireless options, and a foldable design make it especially useful for moving between work, travel, and downtime.
