## Description

Keep an eye on your baby during naps with the Jartoo JBM550’s 5.5-inch screen, or use the Jartoo app to check in remotely. Its hybrid setup lets you choose a private local connection at home or Wi-Fi viewing when you’re away, so the monitoring style can fit the moment.

The 2K camera, two-way audio, and AI-powered detection bring key nursery updates together in one system. Choose between a dedicated monitor and app access rather than relying on a phone alone.

## The essentials

The camera captures 2K video, while its 360-degree pan, 148-degree tilt, and 1–5x zoom help you adjust the view around the crib and nursery. The 5.5-inch IPS display gives you a dedicated screen for checking in, and the included mount helps position the camera for a useful view. Picture-in-Picture mode supports viewing while you handle other tasks.

For monitoring at home, use the local connection without Wi-Fi. When you want remote viewing, connect through the Jartoo app. The listed transmission range is up to 1,860 feet in open areas, walls affect the range. Buyers have also highlighted the clear video and straightforward setup, making the screen and camera features practical to get started with.

## Everyday use

Cry and motion detection can alert you to changes in the nursery, while human tracking helps keep your baby in frame. The monitor also tracks temperature, humidity, and noise, adding environmental context to a check-in. Advanced noise reduction is designed to reduce ambient background sound, and two-way audio lets you speak through the monitor.

For settling-in routines, the camera includes four white-noise sounds and four lullabies. The app can help organize diaper changes, feedings, and sleep schedules, and access can be shared with up to 20 family members. Local storage supports later viewing, an SD card is not included. The product also lists 24/7 recording, so check-ins and recorded footage can serve different monitoring needs.

## Best use cases

This monitor suits caregivers who want both a dedicated nursery screen and the option to check in through an app. Use the local connection for at-home viewing without Wi-Fi, then use app access for remote monitoring when connected to Wi-Fi. The 2K camera with pan, tilt, and zoom is useful when you need to adjust the view as your baby moves around the nursery, while two-way audio provides a way to respond from the monitor.

It can also support a more organized routine: detection and room-condition monitoring help surface relevant updates, while the app’s care log keeps feeding, diaper, and sleep notes together. That combination is especially useful when more than one caregiver shares day-to-day care.

## What to clarify

**Can the monitor work without Wi-Fi?** Yes. It supports a local connection for at-home monitoring without Wi-Fi, remote viewing uses the Jartoo app.

**Can I check the camera from outside the home?** The app supports remote viewing when connected through Wi-Fi, offering a different option from the monitor’s local connection.

**What does the detection system monitor?** It includes cry and motion detection, human tracking, and monitoring for temperature, humidity, and noise.

## Is it worth it?

A solid pick if you want a baby monitor that combines a dedicated 5.5-inch screen with app-based remote viewing, plus practical nursery tools in one setup. The 2K camera’s adjustable view, two-way audio, detection features, and care log make it well suited to routine nursery monitoring at home and check-ins while away.
