## Description

This lightweight 360 camera from Insta360 packs advanced capture tools into a compact body weighing about 165 g, making it easy to carry on ski days or travel adventures while recording immersive 8K 360 video at 30 fps. It lets you capture action first and decide framing later, so you can stay in the moment on the slopes and then craft the perfect angle in the app.

## Key Points

The X4 Air emphasizes portability and creative freedom. According to the manufacturer the camera is ultralight at roughly 165 g and waterproof, so it handles snowy conditions and wet environments more comfortably than bulkier rigs. Dual lenses record full 360 scenes in 8K at 30 fps, which helps preserve detail across wide compositions while ensuring no one needs to be left behind to hold a camera.

Built-in tools reduce the need for complex post workflows. FlowState stabilization and 360-degree Horizon Lock keep footage smooth and level even during fast turns or tumbles. The camera also includes a built-in wind guard to improve audio quality in windy conditions common on mountains and open trails. Additionally the bundle highlights an invisible selfie stick effect when using compatible accessories, opening up third-person framing similar to a drone perspective. 📷🏔️

## Usage Recommendations

Capture-first workflows are central to this model. Press record during runs or group moments and later use the Insta360 app to extract and reframe shots, apply AI-powered edits, and choose the best perspectives. For windy mountain conditions use the wind guard feature and consider framing wider to allow room for reframing in post. The replaceable lens system makes on-the-spot repairs feasible if a lens is scratched or damaged, avoiding the need to replace the whole unit and reducing downtime during trips. ⚙️

## Benefits

The combination of lightweight design and high-resolution 360 capture favors active users who want cinematic-looking footage without carrying extra weight. The AI editing templates and cloud backup service simplify sharing and preserve large 360 files for later editing. Note that the invisible selfie stick is a standout visual effect but may require compatible accessories sold separately. Furthermore actual weight and performance may vary slightly according to production and configuration, according to the manufacturer.
