## Description

For owners of compatible HP LaserJet Pro printers who want a spare ready for the next replacement, this E-Z Ink set includes two black toner cartridges. It is listed for the 3001dw, 3001fdw, and MFP 3101fdw series, so it can suit a home office or small workgroup that prints regularly. The key decision is model compatibility, not just the 138A label: some similarly named e-printer models are specifically excluded. Each cartridge is listed with a 1,500-page yield under a stated test condition, rather than a guarantee of the same output for every document mix.

## Getting the most from it

Check the full printer model number before choosing this replacement. The listing names the HP LaserJet Pro 3001dw, 3001fdw, and MFP 3101fdw series as compatible, but says it does not support e-printer versions such as the 3001dwe and MFP 3101fdwe. Those extra letters matter, a cartridge that matches the 138A family may still be wrong for a particular printer.

A practical use case is keeping the second cartridge on hand: when text on a work document starts looking faint, you have another black cartridge available instead of needing to place a separate order first. The stated yield is 1,500 pages per cartridge at 5% coverage on A4 paper. Dense graphics, darker pages, or other print patterns may use toner differently, so treat that figure as a reference point rather than a promise for your own workload.

## Why it’s worth it

Two cartridges make this a straightforward replenishment choice for someone who already knows their printer uses the supported 138A format. If you print often, having a spare can make the next swap less disruptive. If you prioritize testing a replacement before stocking another, a single-cartridge option may be a better fit, if you prefer to keep supplies ready, this two-pack has a clearer use case.

The maker says each cartridge goes through multiple quality checks and is intended to produce clear text and graphics. That gives a useful expectation, but the supplied details do not establish how output compares with another toner brand in every printer or document type. Worth considering if you want two black replacements for a confirmed compatible model. It may not suit you if your printer is an excluded e-printer or you only want one cartridge on hand.

## Key features

- Two black 138A replacement toner cartridges
- Listed yield: 1,500 pages per cartridge at 5% coverage on A4 paper
- Compatible models named in the listing: HP LaserJet Pro 3001dw, 3001fdw, and MFP 3101fdw series
- Not supported: e-printer models such as 3001dwe and MFP 3101fdwe
- The listing says 24-hour customer support is available for installation or usage issues

## Is it worth it?

This set makes most sense when your printer model is an exact match and you will use both cartridges over time. It offers a second replacement in the same purchase, which is more convenient than buying one at a time if you prefer to keep toner on hand. The tradeoff is that the two-pack is a less suitable way to experiment if you are uncertain about compatibility or do not expect to need another cartridge soon. According to the maker, the yield figure uses 5% coverage on A4 paper, your actual page count will depend on what you print. Confirm the model suffix before choosing, especially if your printer name includes “e.”
