## Description

Roll your office chair across a defined work area while helping protect the floor beneath it. The InfiniGlass GlassMat-FY4655-5 pairs a clear tempered-glass surface with a 48" x 40" footprint for home offices and workspaces.

Its transparent finish lets the floor remain visible, while the scratch-resistant surface is designed for everyday chair movement. Four non-slip pads help keep the mat in place.

At 0.2" thick, the glass mat supports up to 1,000 pounds. Its rectangular shape creates a practical area for moving a desk chair.

## Technical overview

This chair mat is made from tempered glass with a clear finish, so it protects the floor without covering its appearance. The 48" x 40" surface suits a workspace where a chair needs room to roll near a desk. Its 0.2" thickness and stated weight capacity of up to 1,000 pounds make the mat a sturdy surface for that role.

The mat is intended for use on hardwood, tile, laminate, and low-pile carpet. A scratch-resistant surface helps guard against wear from chair movement, and polished edges help prevent snags on carpet. Four non-slip pads provide grip beneath the glass. Unlike a flexible plastic chair mat, this is a rigid, transparent glass option for shoppers who want the floor to show through.

## Practical tips

Unpack the mat while it is lying flat on the floor. Before lifting or moving it, check the glass surface for cracks, and avoid exposing it to thermal shock. These straightforward steps help you handle the tempered-glass panel carefully during setup.

The mat weighs 14.65 kg, so plan its placement before moving it into position. Once installed, the pads help hold it steady as you roll your chair across the surface. For routine cleaning, wipe the glass with a damp cloth.

## Everyday use

In a home office, place the mat beneath the chair’s working area to create a smooth rolling surface and help shield the floor from dents and scratches. The clear glass keeps hardwood grain or a floor pattern visible, making it a practical fit when you want floor protection without an opaque mat. Its modern, rectangular design also suits studios and shared office spaces.

Buyers commonly praise how easily chairs move across the surface, along with its sturdy feel and clean appearance. Some also describe the mat as heavy, which is useful to keep in mind when planning where to set it up. These impressions reflect customer feedback rather than a promise of an identical experience in every workspace.

## When it makes sense

Choose this mat when you want a clear, rigid alternative to a flexible chair mat and need a defined 48" x 40" area for rolling-chair use. The tempered-glass construction, scratch-resistant surface, non-slip pads, and compatibility with several floor types bring protection and chair movement together in one piece. It is especially suited to a home office or workspace where preserving the visible floor is part of the setup.
