Imagimake World Map Puzzle, 65 Country Pieces

If you want geography practice that feels more hands-on than memorizing names from a page, the Imagimake World Map Puzzle gives kids a map to build piece by piece. It uses country-shaped pieces, so the activity involves matching locations as well as recognizing shapes. That makes it a more active choice for a child who likes assembling puzzles, it’s less suited to someone looking for a fast, screen-based activity or a simple fact book.

What to know

The set includes a foam puzzle frame made from three pieces and 65 country-shaped puzzle pieces. The pieces are cut to reflect countries’ relative sizes, with fitting India beside China given as an example of how children can notice differences while building. The idea is to connect each country’s shape and position with where it sits on the map, rather than treat geography as a list to memorize.

The pieces are made of 6 mm EVA foam and fit together to form the world map. The product description says the materials conform to ASTM toy standards, that is a materials claim, not a substitute for supervising a child during play. Instructions are included. Keep in mind that the assembled dimensions aren’t provided, so you can’t tell how much table space it needs without that measurement.

Best use cases

The product is presented as an educational toy for children ages 4 and up, its title also targets ages 4–8 and 5–7. It may suit a child who enjoys puzzles and is beginning to explore countries and their locations. For example, a child can look for a country-shaped piece, try it in the map, then compare its position and size with nearby pieces. An adult can make that moment more engaging by asking where a piece belongs, without turning the activity into a quiz.

A solid pick if you want a tactile way to introduce world geography alongside puzzle play. It offers more location-based interaction than a basic map poster, though it doesn’t provide listed lesson plans or detailed country facts beyond the puzzle activity and instructions.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the pieces out on a clear surface and let the child work through the map at their own pace. The shaped pieces give them something to match, while the relative sizes can prompt simple comparisons as the map comes together. If the puzzle is being used with a younger child, an adult can help with unfamiliar country names or guide the search without taking over the placement.

The 6 mm foam construction distinguishes it from a thin paper map activity, but the product information doesn’t specify storage, cleaning, or how the pieces hold up to repeated handling. Put the pieces away together after play so the country shapes are ready for the next round.

When it makes sense

Choose this puzzle if the child is interested in maps and you want country locations to be part of the play, not just something to look at. Its strongest appeal is the combination of a world-map build, country-shaped pieces, and relative-size comparisons. Not the best choice if you need a stated assembled footprint, a structured geography curriculum, or an activity centered on detailed written information, those needs aren’t covered by the listed contents.
