Its carbon block uses activated carbon from natural coconut shells, and the listed filter certifications include NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 372. This is an independent compatible replacement, not a Whirlpool or Everydrop-branded filter. That distinction matters if you specifically want an original manufacturer part, for this option, the key purchase check is whether your refrigerator uses one of the listed filter references or models. The package contains two filters. The manufacturer recommends replacing a filter every 6 months or after 300 gallons, depending on water quality and use. Installation is described as tool-free, so it may suit routine home replacement without adding a separate installation step. ## Specifications - Model: RWF0500AH - Type: Refrigerator water filter replacement - Pack size: 2 filters - Material: Low-lead material and activated carbon from natural coconut shells - Dimensions: 2.32"D x 4.69"W x 10.51"H - Weight: 11.36 ounces - Certifications listed: NSF/ANSI 42, NSF/ANSI 53, NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 - Recommended replacement: Every 6 months or 300 gallons, depending on water quality and amount filtered - Compatible references include: Whirlpool 4396508 and 4396510, Everydrop EDR5RXD1, Filter 5, 4392857, WF285, and 4396918 The listed filtration targets include chlorine, taste and odor, particulate matter, rust, cysts, lead, and other heavy-metal impurities. These are product claims tied to the stated certifications, not a guarantee that every unwanted substance in every water supply will be removed. Buyers report favorable impressions of fit, water taste, and everyday functionality, including use with older refrigerators. Those comments are useful context, but the exact refrigerator and filter reference remain the deciding compatibility check. ## Practical tips Before ordering, compare your current filter’s reference number with the compatible list and confirm your refrigerator model appears in the manufacturer’s compatibility information. A similar-looking cartridge is not enough to establish fit. If your refrigerator uses a different filter family, this replacement may not be suitable. After installation, follow the refrigerator’s instructions for starting up a new filter. Track the replacement interval by time or filtered volume, using whichever comes first for your household’s conditions. The manufacturer notes that water quality and the amount filtered affect how long a filter remains in use. It’s a great fit if you need a two-pack compatible replacement for a listed refrigerator and prefer a tool-free installation. It’s not for you if you specifically require a Whirlpool- or Everydrop-branded OEM part: ICEPURE PLUS identifies this as an independent compatible product. Compared with choosing an original-brand cartridge, this approach prioritizes compatibility by reference rather than the refrigerator maker’s branding. ## Box contents The package includes two ICEPURE PLUS refrigerator water filter replacements. The listed product details do not identify additional accessories or installation tools, and the filter is described as requiring no tools for installation. ## Practical questions **How often should the filter be replaced?** The manufacturer recommends every 6 months or after 300 gallons, with the actual interval depending on water quality and how much water is filtered. **Does it fit every Whirlpool refrigerator?** No universal fit is stated. The product lists particular compatible refrigerator models and filter references, so match your model or current cartridge against that information before buying. **What is it designed to reduce?** Listed targets include chlorine, odor, taste-related impurities, particles, rust, cysts, lead, and other heavy metals. The product also lists NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 372 certifications. ## Final verdict The RWF0500AH is worth considering when you have a refrigerator that matches its compatibility list and want two replacement filters with stated NSF/ANSI certifications and a defined replacement schedule. Its independent-brand status is the main distinction from an OEM cartridge, so buyers who need the refrigerator maker’s own branded part should choose that route instead. For a compatible model, verify the exact filter reference first, that is more useful than relying on appearance alone. ## Images ![ICEPURE RWF0500AH Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack with Coconut-Shell Carbon — 1](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/gfZA7pjKNh0T-A3lyvRe_iJB9xN_wvZuBMD-J0IUXyw-wv1cE-CFF74Hl65uI-OdgzwTP3ETXINj7RXzvbFlsNnrT2xieNTJ3sg8JNoa6ndwwTsLWFADj6lCQw.jpg) ![ICEPURE RWF0500AH Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack with Coconut-Shell Carbon — 2](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/QznKEGSLGwYk44y68ni5nqe1w0p1ps3F6XT5XCFxGYmW4Z5sAodHrg75d0PklMoGJ1VrkxDXWpt3lfWFK6ulfMC2ofeaZJn2zAAclIie45fM8fj66xFYT-UTyQ.jpg) ![ICEPURE RWF0500AH Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack with Coconut-Shell Carbon — 3](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/z4OFOISMNRhUa0UhJYni33nmIxP3VDmv9vSXkZu_R-RWXAf8l_agwhkuXRVGYxPMWfvY_C2AIwKSPg1CXWFpr4ynDK_JnPVX-HtFfMRHGqI8kDYu_ZYp717ssg.jpg) ![ICEPURE RWF0500AH Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack with Coconut-Shell Carbon — 4](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/XMV0B3LCeccyXX5tmHKzTmRaVb6gPEtE2Syu1QkiXGkC_NUHPuyMhIVEbS6iPvG9N5Ddt-ArWjWYh_eub5xFcqF34O9lxLV0O6u3CkxXj_hf63nMBXzoqZ6lZw.jpg) ![ICEPURE RWF0500AH Refrigerator Water Filter, 2-Pack with Coconut-Shell Carbon — 5](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/h-I0myQevm8udEYE0IQW0rlHBmYaL46UhyTVlSLAuFlHi38QTHF9grv-Ev16ufWec84-n9HXrfGlINH1hHUXTADtErS7VvN-GQ5y1VWYBfV7ynG3RvX3Ojeucw.jpg)
