## Description

As the swimming season winds down, cover a 28-foot round above-ground pool to help keep leaves, dust, rain, and snow out. The HydrGeara PCW-28BE is designed for this pool size and adds extra overlap for coverage around the pool edge.

Its 500D Oxford fabric, 195 GSM density, and reinforced edges are designed to resist tears. A UV-resistant coating helps the cover stand up to seasonal exposure, while the included winch-and-cable closure lets you tension it around the pool.

The round shape suits above-ground pools, including frame and steel-wall models. Use it as a winter cover to help protect the pool between swimming seasons and reduce the debris that reaches the water.

## How it fits

Made for 28-foot round above-ground pools, this cover has an extra 4 feet of overlap for coverage beyond a close-fitting edge. That added coverage is useful when you want the cover to extend around the pool rather than sit tightly at the rim. The design is intended for both frame and steel-wall pool models.

For seasonal setup, position the cover over the pool and use the winch and steel-core cable to secure and tension it. The closure is an integrated part of the fit: it helps hold the cover in place around the pool instead of relying on a loose drape alone.

## Why it’s worth it

A winter cover needs to do more than cover the water. The reinforced edges and 17 x 17 mesh grid are part of this design’s tear-resistant construction, while the UV-resistant coating is intended to help protect the material from sun exposure. Together, these features suit a cover that stays in place through seasonal changes.

The extra overlap is a practical distinction from a closer-cut cover: it gives the cover more reach around the pool edge. That can be useful when setting up for winter, when the goal is to cover the pool and help keep leaves, dust, rain, and snow out. Customers have expressed satisfaction with its coverage, while opinions on its value for money are mixed.

## Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you’re preparing a 28-foot round above-ground pool for the off-season and want a cover with extra overlap, reinforced edges, and a winch-and-cable closure. Compared with a close-cut cover, its extra reach gives you more coverage around the pool edge, the 500D construction and UV-resistant coating add practical features for seasonal use. For keeping debris and weather out of a round pool between swimming seasons, the PCW-28BE brings its fit and securing system together in one purpose-built cover.
