Hshbxd 1 Donut Pillow, Square Cotton Seat Cushion with Center Opening
Product description
The square shape gives this donut cushion a defined seating area, while its center opening is intended to reduce contact with sensitive areas. Cotton filling and a soft velvet-like cover make it suited to everyday sitting at home, at a desk, or while traveling.
At 15.74 inches on each side, it is a portable cushion rather than a full chair pad. Buyers describe mixed experiences with its fit, and some say the opening is smaller than they wanted, so those details may matter when choosing it.

Best use cases
This cushion is designed for sitting on a range of flat seats, including office chairs, wheelchairs, car seats, sofas, and travel seating. Its center opening is meant to leave space around the tailbone and other sensitive areas, while the surrounding cushion supports the rest of the seating area. That design may be useful for someone who spends extended periods sitting and wants a cushion with an opening rather than a standard flat pad.
The product information also suggests using it during pregnancy or after surgery, but it does not establish a medical outcome. Buyers commonly mention tailbone discomfort when describing why they use the cushion, their experiences vary, and it should not be treated as a guaranteed form of pain relief. For a practical example, someone working at a desk could place it on a chair during the workday, then move it to a car seat for a trip. Its square footprint and single-cushion format make that kind of transfer straightforward in concept, though the fit depends on the seat and the person using it.
Who it’s for
It suits you if you want a portable seat cushion with a central opening and cotton filling, particularly for use across several sitting locations. The listed machine-wash care may also appeal if you want a cushion that can be laundered. The surface is described as soft velvet, while the filling is cotton, this is a different construction from a basic flat cushion without a cutout.
Buyer feedback is not uniform on fit, size, or construction. Some people say it helps ease pressure around the tailbone, while others report that the overall size or center opening did not suit them. You may want to skip it if you specifically need a larger opening or already know that a 15.74-inch square cushion will not fit your seat or seating needs. If the shape and dimensions match what you need, it offers a simple alternative to a flat seat pad, a more adjustable or differently sized cushion may make more sense when the opening size is a priority.
What to clarify
Can the cushion be machine washed? The care information lists machine washing. No further washing instructions are provided, so follow any care label supplied with the cushion.
What is inside the cushion? The filling is listed as cotton. The cover is described as soft, short velvet.
Where is it intended to be used? The product information lists chairs, wheelchairs, cars, sofas, and travel seats. It is intended for sitting on flat surfaces.
Should you buy it?
Choose the Hshbxd cushion if a square, cotton-filled seat pad with a central opening fits your intended seat and you want to move it between home, work, or travel. The 15.74-inch dimensions give you a concrete starting point for judging that fit. The main trade-off is the opening and overall size: buyer feedback is mixed, with some finding the opening too small. If those measurements work for you, it may suit everyday seated use, if you need a specific opening size, compare that requirement before choosing.
