## Description

Solid brass construction gives the Hourleey HGS-001 a sturdy connection for splitting one garden faucet into two hose outlets. Each outlet has its own valve, so you can control the water flow to each hose separately and use the setup for different watering tasks around the yard.

The two-way design is a practical alternative to connecting and disconnecting one hose every time you switch tasks. Its ergonomic valve handles are designed for easier operation, and installation requires no tools. The package also includes spare O-rings and thread tape for setup.

## Practical tips

Connect the splitter to a compatible 3/4-inch garden faucet, then attach hoses to its two outlets. The connections use 3/4-inch GHT threads, matching most standard US garden hoses. Turn each valve on or off independently to direct water to one hose or both, depending on the task. For example, one outlet can serve a sprinkler while the other supplies a hose for hand watering, shut off either outlet when it is not in use.

The splitter comes with two spare 3/4-inch O-rings and thread tape. The manufacturer recommends wrapping the threads with the tape as needed to help prevent leaks at the connection. Its tool-free installation makes it straightforward to add a second outlet at an existing faucet.

## Why it’s worth it

A single-outlet connection requires switching hoses when you move between watering jobs. This splitter keeps two hose connections available at the faucet, while the individual valves let you control each outlet without having to disconnect either hose. That makes it useful for a sprinkler and a separate watering hose, or for other setups that call for two hose lines in one area.

The solid brass body provides a metal alternative to plastic splitters, and the valve handles are designed with easier operation in mind. Buyers often praise the brass construction, installation, and smooth valve action. Feedback on sealing and durability is mixed, so take care with the threaded connections and use the included tape as directed.

## When it makes sense

Choose this splitter when one faucet needs to serve two hose-based tasks and independent shutoff is useful. It can help keep a yard watering setup organized, with each hose left connected and its own valve ready to control the flow. The brass construction and 3/4-inch GHT connections make it a practical fit for standard US garden hose arrangements, while the included spare washers and tape support setup at the faucet.
