## Description

For households that need to clean spills and stains from carpet or upholstery, the Hoover CleanSlate XL FH15000V combines a portable spot-cleaning format with tools for both broad areas and tight spaces. Its 96 fl oz tank supports longer cleaning sessions between refills, while the included attachments help you choose an approach for stairs, pet messes, and hard-to-reach spots.

If the job is a larger spill, the WidePath tool is designed to cover more area, for a narrow crevice or corner, switch to the TightSpot tool. The Pet Tool is made for pet messes, giving this cleaner a practical range for everyday incidents around the home.

The WidePath tool is intended for larger messes and stairs, while the TightSpot attachment reaches crevices, corners, and baseboards. For pet-related spills, the Pet Tool gives you a dedicated attachment. Together, these options let you adapt the cleaning head to the task instead of relying on one tool for every surface. The 96 fl oz tank is a useful choice when you want to address several spots in one session with fewer trips to refill.

## Compatibility & requirements
The CleanSlate XL uses a 120V power source. Hoover recommends pairing it with a Hoover Portable Spot Cleaner solution, the product includes a trial-size cleaning solution. Hoover’s portable formulas include options for pet messes and everyday stains, so you can select a solution suited to the type of cleanup.

For a real-world routine, use the WidePath tool to work over a spill on a carpeted stair or upholstery, then change to the TightSpot tool for a nearby seam or corner. After cleaning, run fresh water through the hose rinse tool to flush out residual dirt and help keep the machine ready for its next use. The cord and flexible hose provide room to work around furniture and other household areas.

## Practical tips
Match the attachment to the size and location of the mess: use WidePath for broader areas, TightSpot for confined spaces, and the Pet Tool for pet messes. After each cleaning session, use the hose rinse tool with fresh water as directed to clear residue from the hose. Keep the appropriate Hoover portable cleaning solution on hand for the type of stain you are treating.

Buyer feedback often highlights ease of use, suction, cleaning performance, and the usefulness of the included tools. Some buyers also report hose durability and water leakage concerns. These are individual customer experiences, not a substitute for the product’s stated features, but they can help set expectations when comparing a compact spot cleaner with other approaches to household cleanup.

## Should you buy it?
The CleanSlate XL is suited to people who want a dedicated machine for carpet and upholstery spots rather than a cleaner focused on full-room flooring. Its larger 96 fl oz tank, surface-specific tools, flexible hose, and hose rinse tool make it useful for handling varied messes around the home, from broad carpet spills to pet cleanup and tight corners. If your priority is a portable spot cleaner with attachments for different cleaning situations, this model brings those capabilities together in one unit.
