## Description

Replacing a worn sofa seat cushion calls for an insert that matches the space and gives the seat a firm feel. This HOMBYS replacement measures 24 x 24 x 6 inches and combines high-density foam with a polyester batting wrap.

The batting adds a fuller finish and helps smooth wrinkles in the cushion fabric. A removable, machine-washable cover makes routine care more convenient.

If you need to replace an existing insert, this square cushion offers a complete foam-and-wrap option, if you only want to add a soft layer over a seat, a separate topper serves a different purpose.

## Highlights

The cushion pairs firm, high-density upholstery foam with a bonded polyester batting layer. The foam provides the core of the seat, while the wrap helps give the cushion a plumper appearance beneath its cover. It is designed for sofa use and can also serve as padding for chairs, ottomans, stools, window seats, headboards, RV seats, and other listed seating applications.

A zippered cover can be removed for machine washing, making it easier to care for the fabric than an insert with a fixed cover. The plain, white, square design suits a straightforward cushion replacement where the existing cover is being reused. Buyers describe the cushion as comfortable and report that it fits securely in some covers, feedback is mixed on firmness, with some finding it pleasantly firm and others finding it stiff. Opinions on sizing also vary, so matching the insert dimensions to your cushion cover is an important step.

## Quick sizing guide

This insert is 24 inches long, 24 inches wide, and 6 inches thick. Compare those measurements with the cushion space or cover you plan to use, including the intended thickness, before selecting it. The square format is suited to a seat with matching dimensions, it is not a substitute for checking the shape and measurements of your existing cushion.

## Practical tips

For a direct sofa refresh, remove the old insert and place this replacement inside the cushion cover. The product arrives compressed: open the package, unroll the cushion, cut away the plastic, and allow 24–48 hours for it to expand. Cooler temperatures may require additional expansion time. The cover has a zipper for removal and machine washing, follow the care instructions for the cover when laundering it.

For other projects, the foam padding is also listed for chairs, benches, stools, cots, boat or car seats, and similar applications. Its firm feel makes it a practical choice when you want a structured cushion insert rather than a loose, soft filling. Match the square dimensions to the seat or project before installation.

## Questions before you buy

**What size is the cushion?** It measures 24 x 24 x 6 inches. Use those dimensions to compare it with your cushion cover or the space available in the seat.

**Can the cover be washed?** Yes. The cover is removable with a zipper and is described as machine washable.

**How long should it expand after unpacking?** Allow 24–48 hours after unrolling and removing the plastic. Cooler conditions may call for extra time.

## Should you buy it?

Choose this HOMBYS insert when you want to replace a square sofa cushion with a firm foam core, a polyester batting wrap, and a removable washable cover. Its defined 24 x 24 x 6-inch size and range of listed seating uses make it a useful fit for planned cushion replacements and upholstery projects.
