HipTree Pre-Lit Mini Christmas Tree 2ft

Highlights

A full-size Christmas tree can be awkward on a crowded desk or mantel, especially when there’s no convenient outlet nearby. This 2ft pre-lit Norfolk mini tree is designed for smaller spots, with 35 warm white LED lights and a battery-powered setup that lets you place it without a cord running to the wall. Its cement pot gives the slim tabletop tree a defined base, while the 36 PE tips provide the foliage.

The appeal is straightforward: seasonal greenery and a soft glow in a compact footprint, without assembling separate tree sections. Keep in mind that the required AA batteries aren’t included, so you’ll need to provide them before the lights can be used.

Size & fit

At 2ft, with a slim pencil shape, this tree is intended for surfaces rather than as a substitute for a floor-standing Christmas tree. Think of a small apartment mantel, an office desk, a dorm tabletop, or a shelf in a baby’s room. A practical example: place it at the back of a desk corner, where the warm lights add a holiday accent without taking up the space needed for everyday work.

The compact format is useful when floor space is limited, but its smaller scale also means it won’t create the same visual centerpiece as a larger tree. If you’re choosing between a tabletop decoration and a traditional full-height tree, the deciding factor is whether a modest accent is enough for your room.

Tips for day-to-day use

After unboxing, gently fluff the compressed foliage to give the branches their shape. The integrated construction doesn’t require split-section assembly, and the maker describes the pot as having an anti-slip bottom. For the lights, use AA batteries in the hidden battery box, the battery-powered design avoids the need to position the tree beside an outlet.

After the holidays, the maker says it can be stored in its original box without disassembly. That’s handy if you want to bring it back out next season, though the actual storage space will depend on where you keep the box. The needles are described as PE, and the product listing also makes safety claims for households with children and pets, those claims aren’t a substitute for keeping seasonal decorations and battery compartments out of reach when needed.

Questions before you buy

Are batteries included? No. The tree requires AA batteries, which are not included.

Does it need to be plugged into an outlet? No. Its lights are battery powered, so there’s no power cord to place near an outlet.

Does it need assembly? The tree has an integrated, one-piece structure rather than separate sections. The foliage may need gentle fluffing after unpacking.

When it makes sense

A solid pick if you want a compact Christmas accent for a desk, mantel, or shelf and prefer warm white lights without a nearby outlet. It also suits shoppers who want to store the tree without taking it apart. Not the best choice if you need a prominent, floor-standing centerpiece or want a ready-to-light decoration with batteries already supplied. Its main advantage is convenience in a small space, the trade-off is the limited scale of a 2ft tabletop tree.
