## Usage tips
Connect the adapter to the USB-C port on your source device, then attach an HDMI cable between the adapter and a monitor, TV, or projector. It sends video and audio in one direction: from USB-C to HDMI. It does not charge the connected device, and it is not intended to convert an HDMI source to a USB-C display.

Before connecting, make sure the device’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB-C ports do not all provide video output. No drivers or installation are needed. For 4K output, use a High Speed HDMI cable within 4.5m (15ft). The adapter also works with HDMI 1.4, 1.3, and 1.2 displays, making it useful for connecting to different generations of screens. During high-resolution transmission, the adapter’s chip may become warm, this is normal.

For a desk setup, connect a compatible laptop to an HDMI monitor for a larger viewing area. The female HDMI connection also lets you keep using your existing HDMI cable, which can be helpful when setting up a phone or tablet with a TV or projector. Buyers often highlight the straightforward setup and usefulness for travel. Compatibility and connection experiences vary, so checking for DisplayPort Alt Mode is an important part of matching the adapter to your device.

## What’s included
The package is listed as one unit: the Highwings USB-C-to-HDMI adapter. Pair it with an HDMI cable to connect your device to a display.

## Before you decide
**Will it work with every USB-C device?** It works with devices whose USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Check that feature for your particular device before connecting it to an HDMI screen.

**Can it convert HDMI to USB-C?** No. The signal direction is from a USB-C source device to an HDMI display, such as a monitor, TV, or projector.

**Does the adapter charge a phone or laptop?** No. It carries video and audio to the HDMI display, but does not support charging.

## Final verdict
Choose this adapter to connect a compatible USB-C device to an HDMI display while keeping your existing HDMI cable in use. Its 4K-at-60Hz support, braided jacket, and simple plug-and-play setup make it a practical fit for desk viewing, presentations, or taking a compact display connection on the go.
