Highland Cow Leather Journal, A6

The embossed Highland cow cover gives this A6 journal a more personal look than a plain pocket notebook, while the included metal ballpoint pen and greeting card make the set ready to give. Inside, blank and lined pages offer two ways to capture ideas without carrying a separate sketchbook.

It also has card slots and a zippered pocket, so it can hold a few small essentials alongside your notes.

Fit and sizing

At approximately 7.9 x 4.7 inches, this notebook is compact enough to slip into a bag for class, errands, or a workday away from your desk. Its 70 sheets provide 140 pages, with half blank and half lined. That split is useful when a day’s notes might include both a quick written list and a rough drawing or idea.

The inside pockets add organizer-style storage, but they do not make this a substitute for a full-size planner or a dedicated wallet. The description says the zippered pocket can hold a smartphone, actual fit will depend on the phone’s dimensions, which are not specified. What if you want a notebook that can move between note-taking and carrying a few essentials? This layout is designed for that combination, rather than writing space alone.

Pros

• The embossed Highland cow design gives the cover a distinctive theme for fans of the animal.
• A mix of lined and blank pages accommodates structured notes and free-form sketches.
• The metal ballpoint pen, greeting card, and gift box make it a ready-to-present set.
• Card slots and a zippered pocket add storage beyond what a basic notebook offers.

The trade-off is that the compact format limits how much space you have for long notes or larger drawings. The cover is described as leather, but no specific leather type or care instructions are provided.

Buying verdict

You’ll appreciate it if you want a portable journal with a Highland cow design and a few built-in places to tuck away cards or small items. It also makes more sense as a themed gift set than a plain notebook purchase: the pen, card, and box are already included, so there is less need to assemble a separate present.

Better avoided if your priority is maximum writing space, a clearly specified paper type, or a guaranteed fit for a particular phone. Compared with a basic notebook, this one adds gift presentation and storage, compared with a larger organizer, it gives up room for writing. Choose it for the compact, characterful all-in-one format, not as a high-capacity planner or a replacement for a full wallet.
