HGD Tabletop Fire Pit, Stainless Steel

Quick overview

If you want a small flame for a patio table rather than a larger fire pit for heating a whole gathering, this portable tabletop design is built around that lighter-duty use.

It measures 9.6 x 7.1 inches and is made of stainless steel. The package includes a heat-resistant mat and travel bag, so carrying it outside or packing it for a camping trip is part of the plan.

It burns either wood or pellets, giving you a choice of fuel. The maker describes its multi-burn system as reducing smoke, but that does not mean smoke-free operation.

Cleaning & care

A removable ash tray is intended to make cleanup easier once the fire is out and the unit has cooled. Emptying it after use should help keep ash from building up between outings, the product details do not specify a cleaning method, so avoid assuming the parts are dishwasher-safe or require no maintenance.

The included mat is meant to protect the surface beneath the fire pit from heat marks. Keep in mind that it is not recommended for glass surfaces, so choose a suitable outdoor table or another stable, heat-conscious spot instead. Let the unit cool before handling or packing it away.

Practical tips

For a patio evening, the compact footprint can make it easier to add a small fire feature where a larger pit would take up too much room. It is also described as portable for camping, with the travel bag helping keep the setup together between trips. A small flame can set the mood for warming a drink or roasting marshmallows, but this is not presented as a high-output heater.

The triangular one-piece base is designed for stability, and the stainless-steel construction is intended for repeated outdoor use. Still, stability does not replace sensible placement: set it on a level, appropriate surface and keep it away from anything that could be affected by heat. The product description mentions easy ignition and simple controls, but gives no further operating details, so follow the instructions supplied with the unit.

A solid pick if you want a portable tabletop fire feature with a choice of wood or pellets and an included mat. Not the best choice if you need a large fire for substantial warmth, or if the only surface available is glass.

Practical doubts

Can it burn both wood and pellets? Yes. The product description lists both fuel types, letting you choose between them.

Does the package include protection for the table? It includes a heat-resistant mat, but the maker does not recommend using that mat on glass surfaces.

Is cleanup part of the design? A removable ash tray is included to make ash removal more straightforward after the fire has gone out and the unit has cooled.

Final verdict

This tabletop fire pit makes most sense for someone who values a compact, packable centerpiece for patio evenings or outdoor trips more than broad heat coverage. The choice of wood or pellets, removable ash tray, mat, and travel bag address practical parts of owning a small fire feature. Its stated smoke-reduction design may appeal if you want less smoke than a basic setup, but the description does not promise smoke-free use. Choose it for ambiance and modest warmth, look for a larger format if heating a wider area is the main goal.
