## Description

When replacing an exterior dryer outlet, the HG Power PM801 gives the opening a white metal cover with a removable screen and a one-way flap. Its 3.81-inch opening is designed for a 4-inch vent hose, making pipe diameter an important fit check before installation.

Choose a screened cover like this when you want to help keep debris out of the vent opening, a simpler, open-style outlet serves a different need. The removable screen also makes access for cleaning more convenient.

## Technical details
- Type: Exterior dryer vent cover
- Material and color: Metal, white
- Opening diameter: 3.81 inches, designed for a 4-inch hose
- Mounting: Wall mount
- Screen: Removable
- Flap: One-way check valve with rubber ring
- Included: 1 x 4-inch dryer vent cover

The metal housing is intended for outdoor wall installation. Inside, the one-way flap is designed to help block back air, while the rubber ring and noise-reduction feature support quieter operation. The removable screen provides a barrier against debris and can be taken out for cleaning. Together, these details make the cover a practical choice for a dryer vent that needs both an exterior finish and a serviceable screen.

## Everyday use
For a laundry room vented through an exterior wall, the cover provides a defined outlet while helping keep debris from entering the pipe. It is also listed for range hoods, kitchens, offices, garages, sheds, campers, air conditioners, and RVs, so it can suit several ventilation setups when the pipe size matches. Before fitting it, compare the vent pipe’s diameter with the 3.81-inch opening intended for a 4-inch hose.

Installation is described as a straightforward wall-mount process: insert the cover into the vent pipe and secure it to the wall with standard tools. Buyers often praise the appearance, substantial feel, and ease of installation. Feedback on the flap and durability is mixed, with some buyers reporting that the flap does not close reliably or that welds or the gasket have come apart. These experiences are worth considering alongside the cover’s specific size and one-way flap design when choosing an exterior replacement.

## What’s included
The package includes one 4-inch dryer vent cover. Once installed, the removable screen can be taken out when access is needed for cleaning, while the cover remains suited to a wall-mounted exterior vent setup. This arrangement is useful when you want the screen and flap integrated into the vent cover rather than selecting a separate screen component.

## Is it worth it?
The HG Power PM801 is a focused choice for an exterior vent replacement where a white metal finish, removable debris screen, and one-way flap are priorities. Its broad listed use—from dryer exhaust to range hood and RV ventilation—adds flexibility, while the 3.81-inch opening gives you a concrete sizing reference for planning the installation. For a standard 4-inch hose setup, it brings the cover, screen, and backdraft-control flap together in one wall-mounted unit.
