## Description

When you need a simple repeating schedule for outdoor lights, a mechanical timer offers hands-on control, when you need to manage two devices at one location, this HBN model provides two grounded outlets. Set its pins in 30-minute intervals to control connected devices on a repeating 24-hour cycle. Its clear cover makes the timer settings easy to see.

## Practical tips
Plug the timer into an outlet, then set the pins for the times you want connected devices to turn on and off. Each pin represents a 30-minute interval, so the schedule can be adjusted in half-hour steps across a 24-hour period. The timer repeats the schedule daily, making it useful for routines such as switching on yard or patio lights in the evening and turning them off later.

For outdoor use, mount the timer vertically at least 2 feet above the ground to support its weatherproofing. The transparent cover lets you view the timed settings while helping protect the unit from the elements. A 4-inch cord connects the timer to the outlet, while its two grounded outlets let you connect up to two devices at the same time.

## What stands out
This is a plug-in mechanical timer rather than a setup that relies on app-based controls. Its pin-based schedule gives you a direct way to set recurring operation, while the two outlets bring separate devices together at one location. That can be practical for holiday lights and other outdoor decorations that need to follow the same daily timing.

Buyers commonly highlight its usefulness for Christmas lights and ease of setting. Feedback on durability and timekeeping is mixed: some buyers say it holds up in changing weather or keeps accurate time, while others report early failure or inaccurate timekeeping. Those experiences are individual impressions, not a substitute for setting and checking the timer for your own schedule.

## Highlights
The HBN CP-U201D is rated for 125V, 60Hz, 15A, 1875W resistive, and 1/2 HP. It is designed for outdoor lighting, holiday decorations, yard lights, and compatible devices such as a pool pump. The black plastic housing and clear cover suit a practical outdoor setup, and the 6.3-inch depth, 1.9-inch width, and 3-inch height help when choosing a mounting spot. The listed weight is 7.52 ounces.

Compared with choosing a timer for a single device, the two grounded outlets make this model useful when you want to schedule two devices from one timer. Its repeating mechanical program is suited to everyday on/off routines, including seasonal displays that you want to operate on a consistent daily pattern.

## What to clarify
How often does the schedule repeat? The timer repeats its program every day. Set the pins for the desired on and off periods, with each pin representing a 30-minute interval.

Can it control two devices at once? Yes. It has two grounded outlets, so it can power up to two connected devices simultaneously, within the timer’s stated electrical ratings.

How should it be positioned outdoors? Mount it vertically at least 2 feet above the ground for optimal waterproofing. The clear cover allows the timer settings to remain visible.

## When it makes sense
It suits you if you want a straightforward, repeating schedule for outdoor lighting or decorations and need two grounded outlets in one spot. The 30-minute pin intervals make the routine adjustable, while the clear cover and recommended vertical mounting support practical outdoor use. For holiday displays, patio lighting, or other compatible devices, the CP-U201D combines visible mechanical controls with a daily schedule you can set at the outlet.
