## Description

A compact pickup tool is useful for quick jobs around the house, while extra reach matters when a small metal part slips behind a workbench or into a narrow gap. This three-piece HARDK set is designed for both kinds of tasks.

Each tool telescopes from 8 inches to 31.5 inches and has a rotating magnetic head, so you can reach around obstacles and adjust the pickup angle. The 0.87-inch head is sized for tight spaces.

Use it to retrieve magnetic hardware from the floor, a workbench, or an awkward spot in a vehicle. The soft, non-slip handle and pocket clip make it practical to keep close at hand.

The magnetic head is intended for items made from iron, nickel, cobalt, hematite, or magnetic steel. Most stainless steel is not magnetic, so the tool may not pick up stainless-steel items. The coated finish is designed to protect against rust and corrosion, avoiding prolonged exposure to water supports everyday care.

## How to use it

Extend the shaft to reach the object, then guide the magnetic head toward it. Rotate the head to suit the angle or space you are working in. For example, if a screw or bolt falls behind a bench, the extended shaft can reach into the gap without requiring you to move the bench. Retract the tool for storage in a toolbox, or use the pocket clip to keep it accessible during a project.

This approach is especially handy when reaching by hand would be awkward or when picking up small magnetic items from the floor while standing. For craft and repair work, it can also help retrieve pins, needles, or other magnetic pieces from a confined area. It is a focused alternative to a broad magnetic sweeper when the task is to retrieve a specific item from a tight spot.

Customer feedback often highlights the tool’s reach, telescoping action, and usefulness for retrieving objects while standing. Opinions on construction are mixed, with some customers raising concerns about the extension wand separating after use. These are individual impressions rather than a specification of how every tool will perform.

## In the box

The set contains three pickup tools. Keeping one in a home toolbox and another near a workbench or vehicle makes the magnetic reach available in different work areas.

## When it makes sense

It makes sense if you want a compact tool for retrieving small magnetic objects in narrow or hard-to-reach places, with the flexibility to adjust the head angle and extend the shaft when needed. The three-piece set suits routine home, automotive, workshop, and craft tasks where a hand-held magnetic pickup tool is more practical than reaching directly into a cramped space.
