## Description

For DIYers and makers who need one measuring tool for different kinds of work, this HARDELL digital caliper combines four measurement modes with inch, millimeter, and fractional-inch readings.

Its 12-inch metal body and thumb roller support controlled measuring across projects such as woodworking, 3D printing, and household repairs.

A backlit LCD makes readings easier to see in dim work areas, while USB-C rechargeable power keeps the tool ready for repeat measuring tasks.

## Tech summary
- Type: Digital caliper
- Size: 12 inches
- Material: Metal
- Measurement modes: Internal, external, depth, and step
- Units: Inches, millimeters, and fractional inches
- Resolution: 0.0005 inches
- Display: Backlit LCD
- Power: USB-C rechargeable

The four modes let you use one instrument for several common checks: internal measurements for openings, external measurements for an object’s outside dimensions, depth measurements for recesses, and step measurements for changes in height. Switching among inch, millimeter, and fractional-inch readings helps match the display to the way you record dimensions or plan a project.

The backlight is useful when a workbench or garage has uneven lighting. The display’s automatic backlight shutoff after five seconds and the caliper’s automatic power-off after five minutes of inactivity are designed to reduce unnecessary power use. Customers also highlight the easy-to-read display and appreciate the rechargeable design, some mention using it for 3D-printing measurements.

## How to use it
Slide the jaws around the feature you want to measure, or use the depth and step functions for those specific checks. Select the appropriate mode and preferred unit, then read the measurement on the LCD. For a practical 3D-printing workflow, the caliper can help check a part’s outside dimensions, an opening, or a recessed feature, for woodworking, the same set of modes can support measuring stock, cutouts, and depth changes.

The smooth sliding action and thumb roller help you position the jaws with control while keeping a hand available to steady the workpiece. Compared with relying on separate single-purpose measuring tools for each type of check, this caliper brings internal, external, depth, and step measurements together in one instrument. Use a 5V adapter and a USB-C cable when charging. Avoid adapters above 7V and USB-C-to-USB-C cables, which may not charge the caliper correctly.

## Included in the package
The package includes the digital caliper. Its combination of four measuring modes and three display-unit options makes it a practical tool to keep at a workshop bench, in a home tool area, or alongside a 3D printer for dimension checks. A one-year warranty is also stated for the product.

## Final verdict
Choose the HARDELL 12-inch caliper when your projects call for more than outside measurements alone. Its metal construction, backlit display, rechargeable design, and internal, external, depth, and step modes give DIYers, woodworkers, and 3D-printing hobbyists a single tool for a varied set of measuring tasks. The selectable inch, millimeter, and fractional-inch readings make it easier to work in the units that suit each project.
