HANDBODE 1A1A0017 Hex Dumbbells, 17.5 lb Pair, Rubber-Coated

This fixed pair of 17.5 lb hex dumbbells combines solid iron heads with a virgin rubber coating. The coating helps protect floors and workout equipment, while the hexagonal shape keeps the weights from rolling between exercises.

Each dumbbell measures 11.73" long and 4.23" wide, with a 34 mm chrome-plated handle. Its non-slip grip is designed to feel secure during strength training movements.

Use the pair for upper-body, lower-body, and core exercises at home, at the gym, or outdoors. As fixed-weight dumbbells, they’re ready for a consistent load without changing plates between sets.

Size & fit

The 34 mm handle and ergonomic, chrome-plated design provide a defined grip for exercises such as rows, presses, and curls. At 17.5 lb per dumbbell, the pair offers one consistent resistance level for a workout routine. The compact hex heads also make the weights easier to position and store than round dumbbells that can roll when set down.

The flat sides have a practical role beyond storage: they provide a stable base for movements such as dumbbell plank rows and pushups. Rubber encasing helps protect the floor or exercise mat as you set the weights down, making the pair useful in a home workout area as well as a gym.

Pros

A fixed pair suits routines where you want the same weight available for both hands and can move directly from one exercise to the next. If you’re choosing between fixed and adjustable dumbbells, this pair keeps the setup simple, adjustable weights offer more load changes in a single set, while fixed weights are ready to pick up at their stated weight.

Customers often praise the grip and weight for home workouts and physical therapy exercises, and some describe the dumbbells as durable. Some also report a strong rubber odor. The manufacturer notes that a new-rubber smell may be present and dissipates over time.
