## Description

For players replacing a nut on a four-string bass, the Guyker BT4336-2pcs is a pre-slotted cattle bone replacement with a flat bottom and red finish. Its string grooves are already cut, giving you a defined starting point for a bass repair or upgrade.

The set includes two nuts sized 43x6x9mm. The listed fit is PB and JB Precision Bass and Jazz Bass instruments, as well as similar basses with matching nut dimensions.

Before installation, measure the original nut to compare its size and fit. The product’s measurements are manual and may vary by 1–2mm.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Use this replacement when servicing a compatible four-string bass and you want string-position grooves already formed in the nut. The flat-bottom design and pre-cut slots make it a practical choice for a like-for-like replacement project, check that the existing nut’s shape and dimensions match before fitting. If you are comparing it with a blank nut, the pre-slotted format provides grooves without starting from an uncut piece. What helps keep a replacement setup straightforward? Matching the dimensions and string layout to the original part.

The bone material is described as cattle bone, with minimal porosity. Its role at the string contact points is also relevant: the product is designed to reduce string friction at the nut and help the bass stay in tune. The manufacturer also describes tuning and sustain benefits, though the result depends on the instrument and the completed setup. For fret buzz concerns, the nut can be part of a repair, but correct fit and setup remain important.

## Why it’s worth it

This set combines a defined four-string layout with a flat-bottom profile, so it suits a focused replacement rather than a universal, uncut nut intended for custom slotting. The supplied pair is useful for a bass project that calls for a spare as well as the replacement part. For a player maintaining a compatible Precision- or Jazz-style bass, the pre-cut grooves help make the intended string positions clear, while the bone construction offers a direct alternative to choosing a different nut material.

Buyers generally describe the nut’s functionality positively, including use on left-handed basses. Feedback on dimensions is mixed: some buyers say the size matched expectations, so comparing the listed measurements with the original remains a useful step before installation.

## Final verdict

The Guyker set is suited to four-string bass owners looking for two red, flat-bottom cattle bone nuts with pre-cut string slots. Its listed PB/JB compatibility, measured dimensions, and ready-made grooves make it a practical fit for a matching replacement or bass upgrade project.
