## Description

For cleaner recordings, controlled tapping, or focused practice, the Gruv Gear FretWrap helps damp unwanted string noise and overtones. This Medium MTD Edition comes as a three-pack for acoustic, electric, and bass instruments. Its adjustable strap lets you set the amount of muting for the playing task at hand. Need to reduce sympathetic string resonance without changing your instrument? Position a wrap near the nut and adjust the pressure to suit your technique.

## Size & fit

The Medium size is designed for use with guitars and basses, including acoustic and electric instruments. Place the wrap near the nut to damp the strings during playing, then slide it toward the headstock when you want it out of the way. The adjustable strap gives you control over pressure, from lighter muting to stronger damping. That makes it useful for techniques such as two-hand tapping, sweep picking, and legato runs, where ringing strings can distract from the notes you intend to play.

For a recording session, for example, position the wrap before tracking a tapping part and adjust it until the unwanted resonance is reduced to the level you want. Unlike relying on an improvised mute, this purpose-made wrap offers a strap you can reposition and fine-tune. It installs without tools or permanent instrument modifications.

## Why it’s worth it

String noise and sympathetic vibrations can add unwanted sound while you play. The FretWrap is designed to damp those strings, helping keep passages more controlled for recording, live playing, and practice. Its adjustable pressure makes it useful across different playing approaches: lighter muting can support subtle control, while firmer pressure is available when a part calls for more damping.

The three-pack gives players multiple wraps for their instruments or setups. Buyers often highlight how easy the wraps are to apply and adjust, and describe cleaner tones and less unwanted string noise. Some also appreciate the understated appearance. Views on value vary, but the practical appeal is clear for players who want a reusable, adjustable muting accessory for precision-focused parts.

Choose this three-pack when string resonance gets in the way of detailed playing, especially during tapping, legato passages, recording, or practice. It offers an adjustable alternative to muting strings by hand, with the option to move the wrap out of playing position when it is not needed. A solid pick if you want a simple, repositionable way to manage unwanted string noise across guitar and bass setups.
