## Description

## Usage tips

Keep an eye on conditions in a greenhouse, basement, wine cellar, or incubator with two Govee H5179 sensors and the Govee Home app. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity let you view temperature and humidity readings remotely, while preset range alerts can notify you when conditions move beyond your chosen thresholds. For setup, use Bluetooth in the app to configure alerts, the sensors do not support 5G WiFi.

Each sensor refreshes readings every two seconds, giving you regularly updated information as you check on a space. The included lanyard loops make the units easy to place where monitoring is useful.

The app can display historical trends and graphs, making the set useful for more than checking a current reading. Reviewing past data can help you follow how conditions change over time in a space you monitor regularly. Upload intervals can be adjusted to 10, 30, or 60 minutes, and the app also supports a widget for viewing readings.

## Pros

A two-sensor set is practical when you want to monitor separate locations or compare conditions in different parts of a room. For example, one unit can track a greenhouse area while the other monitors a basement or wine cellar. Compared with a basic thermometer that only shows a reading at the device, app access, preset alerts, and exportable history provide more ways to keep track of changing temperature and humidity.

Buyers often describe setup and everyday use as straightforward. Feedback is mixed on accuracy and WiFi connectivity, and some buyers raise concerns about reliability. The product’s documented accuracy figures and wireless features offer clear criteria to consider when choosing an app-connected monitor.

## Is it worth it?

The H5179 is a useful fit for people who want temperature and humidity readings from more than one indoor location, with phone access and alerts for preset ranges. Its two-sensor format, historical data tools, and compact placement options suit ongoing monitoring in spaces such as a greenhouse, basement, or wine cellar. Choose it when app-based visibility and recorded trends are more useful than a thermometer that only provides an on-device reading.
