Govee H1AB2 COB LED Strip Lights 2, RGBIC, 840 LEDs/m, 16.4 ft

Add layered color to a bedroom, cabinet, or kitchen island with a slim, indoor LED strip designed for detailed lighting effects. Its COB layout packs 840 LEDs/m beneath a soft silicone sleeve for a more evenly diffused look. RGBIC zones let you create multicolor effects along the strip, while smart-home controls make it easy to adjust the lighting by app or voice.

Technical overview

The 16.4-foot COB strip combines RGBIC lighting with LuminBlend+ color blending and a stated color temperature range of 1000K–10000K. The dense LED layout and silicone sleeve are designed to create smooth, continuous-looking illumination for visible surface-mounted placements, such as under cabinets or along a kitchen island. Its slim profile measures 12.6mm wide and 6.8mm thick, helping it fit into narrow architectural gaps.

Control the strip through the app or voice, with Wi-Fi connectivity and support for Matter, Google Home, amazon Alexa, and SmartThings. Multi-zone control divides the lighting into 10 segments per meter, so different areas can display customized colors. The app offers 97 scene modes and 16 music modes, giving you options for everyday ambient lighting, celebrations, or color effects that respond to music. DaySync provides adaptive lighting based on local time and location, and AI Lighting Bot 2.0 can turn ideas into custom light shows.

The strip is powered by a corded electric connection and uses 24 volts and 36 watts. It is intended for indoor use. It can be cut to suit an installation, but the remaining section cannot be used, so measure the planned route before cutting.

Best use cases

Use it beneath cabinets or along a kitchen island when you want accent lighting that follows a narrow edge without taking up much space. In a bedroom, RGBIC zones and scene modes make it possible to shift the atmosphere for relaxing, a celebration, or a music session. The multicolor effects also suit seasonal decorating, including Christmas and Halloween.

Compared with a basic single-color strip, this model offers segmented color control and app-selected scenes for more personalized effects. That makes it a practical choice when you want the lighting itself to add visual variety, rather than simply provide one continuous color. Voice control is useful for quick adjustments, while app controls provide access to scenes, music modes, and custom lighting settings.

Box contents

The package includes one COB Strip Light 2, one cable, four clips, one control box, one power adapter, and one user manual. Measure the installation path before trimming the strip, since the cut-off section cannot be reused.

When it makes sense

Choose the Govee COB LED Strip Lights 2 when you want a 16.4-foot indoor strip that combines a dense COB light layout with customizable RGBIC zones and smart-home control. Its narrow profile suits cabinet and kitchen-island details, while app, voice, scene, and music controls give you several ways to tailor the lighting to the room or occasion. You’ll appreciate it if you want accent lighting that can move beyond a single color and fit into a connected home setup.
