GORILLA GRIP Traffic Guard 35" x 23" Waterproof Door Mat, Black
Product description
Best use cases
The raised, ribbed surface is designed to catch dirt, mud, and moisture in its grooves, helping keep tracked-in debris away from floors. At 35" x 23", this black GORILLA GRIP Traffic Guard mat can sit at an entryway, porch, patio, garage, or office entrance. Its 0.25-inch profile is intended to clear many doors, making it a practical fit where a thicker mat could interfere with opening and closing.
For a rainy-day entry, shoes can pass over the textured top before people move farther inside. The mat is rated for indoor and outdoor use, so it can also serve at a mudroom or work entrance. It suits you if you want one rectangular mat for collecting everyday dirt and moisture, a larger mat or a dedicated multi-piece setup may make more sense when you need to cover a wider area.

Strengths
The main appeal is its combination of a low profile and a surface made to collect debris and water. The manufacturer also describes the top as absorbent, quick-drying, and resistant to stains and fading. Those features suit entrances where wet shoes and routine foot traffic are part of daily use, while the textured backing is designed to help the mat stay put.
Buyer feedback is positive about dirt containment, appearance, and use in doorways, but reports about grip and durability are mixed. Some say the mat stays in place, while others find that it slips. That makes the floor surface and placement worth considering, especially in a busy passage. Unlike a small decorative welcome mat, this one emphasizes a ribbed dirt-catching surface and waterproof construction, it is not a substitute for a mat sized to cover a broad entry area.
What to clarify
Can it go outside? It is listed for both indoor and outdoor use, including locations such as porches, patios, and garages.
Will a door clear it? The mat is 0.25 inches thick and described as low-profile, but actual clearance depends on the door and threshold.
How should it be cleaned? The care instructions specify hand washing. The available details do not provide a machine-wash method.
Buying verdict
The Traffic Guard is a sensible choice when the priority is a compact, waterproof mat with a grooved surface for an entry that sees dirt and moisture. Its listed size and thickness make it easier to assess fit before choosing it, and its indoor-outdoor designation offers flexibility between a doorway, porch, or garage. It’s not for you if you need confirmed non-slip performance on your particular floor: buyer reports on grip differ. For everyday entry protection, the strongest reason to choose it is the combination of a ribbed top, waterproof design, and low profile, for broader coverage or a different cleaning routine, compare those requirements before deciding.
