Gorilla Costume, Child Small (6-8)

When a plain mask doesn’t create the full costume effect, a matching bodysuit, mask, and hands make it easier to build a recognizable gorilla look. This child’s set combines those pieces with a vinyl chest inset and faux fur attached to the vinyl mask and hands. For a school dress-up day or a costume party, the pieces give a child a clear character look without needing to assemble the main parts separately. The key decision is whether the listed Child Small measurements are a suitable match, since the product details don’t describe other sizes.

Getting the most from it

The bodysuit closes at the back with a hook-and-loop fastener. That gives the wearer a straightforward way to get in and out, though the closure is at the back rather than the front. The set also includes separate hands and a gorilla mask, both vinyl with attached faux fur, the bodysuit has a vinyl chest inset. For a practical dress-up moment, a child can put on the bodysuit, fasten it at the back with help if needed, then add the mask and hands to complete the look.

The mask and hands bring a different finish from the bodysuit’s chest inset, so this isn’t an all-fabric design. If you prioritize having the main costume pieces together, this set covers more of the character than buying a mask alone, if you prefer a softer, fabric-only costume, the vinyl components may not suit that preference. The listing doesn’t provide care instructions, so don’t assume how the materials should be cleaned.

Why it’s worth it

The useful part is the coordinated set: the bodysuit, mask, and hands are included, so there’s less need to find matching accessories separately. The attached faux fur adds texture to the mask and hands, while the vinyl chest inset makes the bodysuit’s front detail distinct. Worth considering if the goal is a ready-to-assemble gorilla costume for a child and the measurements line up.

It’s not for you if you’re looking for a costume with stated fabric-care guidance or want to avoid vinyl parts, neither preference is addressed by the product details. The design is focused on the gorilla character rather than on extra accessories, and none beyond the listed pieces are specified.

The measurements are more useful than the size label alone when deciding whether this will fit. Compare the child’s listed chest, waist, hips, and height with the provided figures rather than relying only on the age range. The details don’t give a sizing adjustment method or describe stretch, so there’s limited guidance for a borderline fit.

Buying verdict

This costume makes sense when you want the main gorilla pieces in one set and the Child Small measurements suit the wearer. The back closure and included mask and hands keep the outfit’s basic components together, while the vinyl details and attached faux fur define its look. According to the maker, the size is intended for children listed as Small (6-8), with the measurements and weight guidance above. Choose another approach if vinyl mask and hand pieces are a dealbreaker, or if the child’s measurements don’t fit the listed size, the supplied information doesn’t establish a larger or smaller option.
